Hi guys.

I'm fairly new to vaping so excuse me if this is a silly question!

I've been vaping a few months now using a 20w zmax with a nautilus mini tank. Most recently been vaping the red astaire juice..

I've just purchased a 30w istick and subtank mini using the 0.5 ohm coil with orbital decay 6mg juice (@20w) and it has hardly any flavour compaired to my nautilus with the red astaire...but loads of vapour!!

I'm guessing it's just a case if vapours tounge or is somthing wrong?

I got rid of the .5 coils and bought the 1.2 ohm, better flavor, coils seem to last longer.

With the 0.5 ohm coils, you really do need 30 or more watts. I run them at about 35 watts, if I'm not using the nickel coils. At 20 watts, you'renot even starting the coil in terms of flavor production. Just be aware that 30 or more watts is going to put some heat in that vapor. If it's too hot for you, try the 1.2 ohm coil at 20-25 watts.

Watch this so you know about some options.

I used an EVOD before subtank and of course it was cool, I thought good flavor and airy. It is great for testing out the base flavor of a new juice. Some juices translate better to my .5 subtank and some don't do as well. There are also some things I run in the subtank at 20 watts that taste better than 30 watts. I use a Kbox basic device I got for $24.

It is all subjective to the person. I think subtanking it you need to start with more bold juices. When you read "subtle strawberry" you may not taste it at all in a subtank but maybe you will on a $1 standard 1.5 ohm single coil device.

I like the subtank so my goal is to seek out things that work well with it's coils that I dig the taste of. Here are a few to my taste after trying about 15 flavors so far.

Nicoticket - Virus
MadtownVape - Honey Badger
Cuttwood - Sugar Bear
MBV - HawkSauce (all though they make a non menthol version I wish I would have tried)

In contrast I did not get much flavor with Nicoticket Custards last stand or even Frenilla and others rave on them. All subjective from another newbie.

P.S. Stay hydrated with a subtank. Use mouth rinse that fights dry mouth.

i started using higher resistance builds for the st mini and really dont care for the .5 coils. i can open up the af and crank the watts to get a quick fix. or partially close off the small airhole and savor the flavor at 10 watts if i have time.

Exactly....and it works nicely......:)
