I just like the activity of building rba's. Especially RTA's can offer some unique challenges in wicking. I've gotten to the point where I can get a pretty nice vape out of anything from .2 to 1.8 ohms. I can get a very satisfying vape from a single battery mod and get some battery life. I can get a wonderful vape of a mech mod without blowing my face off. I can get a locomotive breath out of a monster build that takes multiple batteries to support. I just find the whole thing a lot of fun. Sometimes I'll go back to an old atty and be surprised at how much I've learned when I open it up. "no wonder it tasted like poop".

If you were my neighbor you'd have a nice 2nd income from next door.

I like RDAs for dripping and mainly use them on my tube mechs at home. For portability I prefer a squonker and get the RDA experience without the hassle of dripping. When I do use an RTA it's a genny-style like the Limitless or Avocado as those are the easiest to wick properly, at least for me. A lot of other RTAs are too fussy or leak.

I would start with an RDA, it is easier to get the build and the wicking right. Tanks can be very fussy with the wicking and you can end up with dry hits or leaking.
I use a squonker as I tried and failed to build on several tanks. As easy to build as an RDA but with a 6-8ml capacity and no carrying bottles of juice around. You can use any mix of juice in them without any wicking issues.
There is a learning curve, but once you have got a technique sorted out I doubt you will go back to factory coils.

For several weeks, I use the Pulse BF 24 with the e-modus and wait for the Pulse BF Box. There are various wire coils for clouds and tastes. Pulse 24 is more designed and adapted to excellent taste, so I bought it, but also a lot of clouds.

I have RBA/RDA/RTA/RDTA's and Tanks are easier, but prefer to just vape. While I use the others just having to fill a tank is a PIA that I would rather not deal with because I would rather be vaping. Even with a 5ML tank I say I have to fill it already? Having to drip every few puffs just is not what I feel like doing. Just me and I can get the same flavor and massive clouds from whatever setup I am using but that is just me and my opinion.

Dont wanna sound like im beating a dead rabbit but....the dead rabbit is my first rda and im loving it. I found it to be easy to build on and i get awesome flavor with it. I understand that with some tweaking on the airflow it can be a cloud maker too, but ill wait till i get the proper tools to try this. My other toy is the limitless+ rdta. I find it to be sort of the best of both worlds, works great as a dripper and if ya want, it holds a fair amount of juice. Nice clouds and great flavor too.

Well do not buy clones that you haven't researched thoroughly, as some are fantastic and even preferred to the originals, like the Hussar Coppervape clone, for example. Usually, the original is going to be better in some ways, but not all, and sometimes those "some ways" aren't worth the HUGE price differential (IMHO, as always....)

There are a lot of great RTA/MTL and maybe one two RDA clones, but I only mentioned the RDA, because if you want to get what the original manufacturer has foreseen, then the RDA is taken for a good taste. Also, do not be surprised if the bolt is in the best case, in the worst case, the fixations themselves will break down and then the spirals will not mount.

PS And, to my knowledge, if you make clones, they do not track their production process and will not have normal certificates of any metal, paint or harmless they do. The manufacturer of original picks uses the highest quality materials and have like CE certificate, therefore, it is more expensive.:

Should be no ugliness over authentic/clone. Without clones I wouldn't get to try different styles of vaping. No way I was paying for an authentic Kayfun 5. Bought a clone and it is a great vape, just not for me. Benched after a week. Have a Goon clone, again great flavor, but discovered I prefer single coil drip. Glad the Nano's are cheap, might not be willing to use a clone for that one. lol
