Also the reason sub-ohmer use less nic in their juice is because of the amount of vapor being delivered and along with that the amount of nic being delivered with that vapor.
They, you, are still getting the same amount of nic as they did before.
That and the harder throat hit from higher nic levels.
I respect your right to have your own perspective. However, I already "have a pair", thank you very much.Sub-Ohming and with that cutting down on the nicotine strength you are using is not dropping the amount of nicotine you are ingesting.
It is supplying the same amount of nicotine to your system in a shorter period of time.
For the OP that stated they are trying, will try, to get off nicotine completely in my opinion Sub-Ohming is a poor choice to do that.
At some point you, and the people around you, have to Buck Up (Grow a pair) and deal with the withdraw symptoms to be completely free of nicotine.
Perhaps had you read more closely, I have been dripping "0 nicotine" e-liquid as well as straight vegetable glycerin (no nicotine) in the last couple of weeks since sub-ohming. I admit I prefer the 6 mg over 0 mg, but I'm using the 0 mg more and more every day. It works, I'm experiencing no or little withdrawal symptoms from the lack of nicotine.
I sincerely believe that I could never use 0 nicotine or simple Vg without sub-ohming and avoid the withdrawal symptoms you spoke of, just as I believe I could never have quit smoking without vaping.
I have a few friends who were smokers, who have quit because of vaping, and who have stopped using nicotine in their e-liquids since they have been sub-ohming. That's the main reason that I tried sub-ohming, because it seemed to help them to stop using nicotine and stay off of it. They don't need the nicotine any longer. The act of inhaling/exhaling concentrated vapor and the hand-to-mouth behavior reinforces whatever "need" we have to the smoking and/or nicotine.
Hey, whatever it takes to stay off the smokes, right? Same thing, what ever it takes to get off the nicotine...
