Former smoker as well, I started out MTL and then i ventured to LH's, as my personal experience/gear grew i found what i wanted in a vape, I found both enjoyable. I will LH when sub-ohming as well as MTL on my builds above 1.0, it all depends on what I am in the mood for.

As most are saying " never say never" I would agree as well, For me to know what I preferred, I had to try out different builds/gear to actually be honest to myself and know what my preferences are. So try it for yourself and not from others and YOU be the Judge and Jury for yourself.:headbang:

The other question I have about drippers is isn't it annoying to have to open the tank and drip juice in it every time you want to take a couple of hits off it? Every time I have to fill any of my tanks It's a bother. I have to disassemble stuff, get my juice dropper, make sure I don't get it where it shouldn't go, there's always some on my hands which makes me worry about nicotine poisoning... who wants to do that 10 times a day? Bad enough I have to do it once a day.

I tried dripping one day and didn't care for it. The first dry hit reminded me to re fill, the Second dry hit reminded me to refill, and the third dry hit told me to put this dripper away and get my tank back out. Since then I've been very happy with my Subtank Mini's using a more restrictive drip tip and a low air flow setting as I MTL vape at .5 ohms.

There's a few trade offs with tanks. I use rtas, and every week I break them all down and clean and rewick them. I still have to fill them, just not as much as a dripper. The lemo 2 is pretty easy. Twist squirt twist. But sometimes the wicking isn't perfect and I'll get dry hits.

With drippers, you just pull the cap odd and squirt. You shouldn't be getting it all over your hands unless you're doing it in the dark or on a rollercoaster.

When I rebuild my tanks, I wear rubber gloves. 50 pairs for 6 bucks at Harbor freight. They last me a while. I also keep paper towels cut into 16ths stacked with my vaping gear, and running alcohol in 50ml juice containers to clean up any residue on tanks from filling. It'll be as clean as you want it to be I guess.

But the real trade off is size, flavor, and simplicity, when comparing a tank to a dripper. I use both. Usually I drip at home and use the tanks when I'm out. It's really just a preference thing. I could tell you 20 pros and cons for each.

As many has said before, give it a shot, you might like it! I started with the original Volcano, and blu. Then I moved up the line, got into VV, and then one day at a get together, I saw a huge cloud of vapor and I had to see how it was done. Next thing I knew, I was holding a built coil, a charged battery, and K-100. Haven't looked back. I'm a lung hitter, but I do MTL a few times. I've found MTL is better for flavor, but lung is best for vapor in my experience. Vape safe!

It would be.
In my case, my rda's vape far longer than a cigarette or two would last.
And unlike vaping the same same all the time from what is in my tank, I can spice things up anytime by adding a drop of some random flavour to my dripper

But for those cloud chasers vaping 100 watts on a teeny weeny 22mm dripper like a derringer, they'd have to add juice for every vape or two.

Seems to me. Like cloud chasers are lung-hitters. Ex-smokers are mouth-to-lung hitters. At least I am. I'm not sure I would like sub-ohm vaping. Am I wrong?
I didn't like it the first time I tried it. But then I got the subtank intending to use the 1.2ohm coils but since it came with a .5 I wasn't going to waste that. It was a flavor explosion in my mouth! I tasted things in my juice I never knew were there. Subtle flavors. Amazing. Swap out that .5 for the 1.5 and now I'm just disappointed. I want those flavors back. For my menthol, any ohm will do. But for things like strawberry cheesecake and especially chocolates, I'm convinced subohm is best. Being able to vape my desert is a game changer. I was always a mouth to lung inhaler. I liked to feel the vapor in my mouth just like I did with my cigarette smoke. If it was too wispy I wasn't satisfied. I tried to mtl on the subtank. It just didn't happen. The wide open feel of the airflow even on the lowest setting is naturally conducive to lung hits for me. Plus it creates so much vapor so fast that it starts to come out the corners of my mouth before I can make the shift to inhale into my lungs.
When I was looking for a new tank I picked the subtank because of the range of coil resistances available and (don't laugh) the availability of different colored o rings. That led to something new that I love. So don't knock til you've tried it. If you're in the market for new gear, get something that will give you what you're used to and let you try something new. You just might fall in love.

I mostly use drippers, but have expeprience with tanks. I drip through the drip tip exclusively so I never take anything apart. I like RDAs with big drip wells like the Mutation X. I think I can get about a ml of juice in that without flooding the coils which lasts quite a few drags. For tri-coils I use a Psywar Onslaught which doesn't take quite as much juice but enough for me.

I only drip when at home. When I take vape gear out I use a bottom fed dripper (Reo Grand) which has an onboard bottle in it, the best of both worlds.

Dripping allows me to change juice and mix different juices on the fly which I really like sometimes. I never get burnt hits like sometimes can happen with a tank. It works for me but as always YMMV :)
