Use what you can afford and make the best of it till you can afford something different.

Really beginning to think these forums can be more of a harm than a help. People misunderstand others comments, others purposely mislead people for greed, others get all caught up in the hype of "new" "improved" products that aren't a bit better than what they have.

People seem to confuse different with better.

Quite a bit of needless arguing and justifying going on.

Amen! Could not agree more.

When I was a newbie, advice like "use what you can afford and make the best of it" hurt more than it helped. I wasted alot of money on Aerotank variants that never were up to snuff. I wish I was told, "son put down that garbage, and invest your time and money learning how to use better gear". I would have still ended up where I am now in my vaping career, but would have saved all that money spent on clearos.

Alas, but that is not what this thread is about is it? It's an inflammatory thread that has little to do with promoting this as a hobby or a possible path towards a healthier lifestyle.

It's a lot of rubbish.

So please in the future, try not to use posts of mine that seek to improve as anchors to show your own displeasure for our hobby.

If the op had asked for advice, what I would have said would have been completely different.

Think about your comments this way....if you had asked for advice when you first started and someone here told you to spend what it takes to get exactly what you really like now, would you had listened? Or would that thread had turned into ALL the other similar threads here right now that start out with a genuine question of a newbie looking for help and all us "veterans" turn it into a pissing match of who knows more about all the available gear its apparent quality and the subtitles of vaping at 11 watts vs 171 watts.

I think the later. And you'd walk away from that frustrated and confused like many of the news will do here this very day.

Oh and I'll give my OPINION on the what gear a newb should buy, provided the newb is committed to learning and trying rather than whining and complaining.

I'd recommend a Provari p3 with either the Erlkonigin or the Svomoesto V4 RTA. Durability, reliability, ease of build, ease of fill and re wick rebuild, flavor galore, safety. What more could you ask for?

Now sit back and watch this post get shredded.

Something that doesn't cost $400.

All you guys who have a fetish for sub ohm tanks are newb vapors who fall ill due to the advertising. You can say this or that but a true rta is where it's at or even rda but we are comparing tank systems! Vaping isn't about "cloud production" and you all are the downfall of the vape world in the public eye!

I think one of the other tanks that I tried was the Arctic something

I'm using the horizon tech arctic right now. It's actually became my favorite for on the go. Flavor is great. Awesome vapor production. Though it isn't as great as my other rebuildables. It does do the job quite well. I have to second whoever else said that you might not really know what you're talking about or what you are doing.

Forgive our ignorance, since you seem to speak for the vaping community... /sarcasm

Vaping is all about personal preference, and what keeps folks off the analogs.

If you enjoy the Arctic, you may want to try out a Freemax Starre! I like it better than the arctic while I'm home.
At work/out and about I always reach for the iStick50 and my arctic!

That's actually weird that you recommend that because a buddy of mine bought one when he was looking for an on the go tank / while he's driving and today at the gym he said that it is amazing. He has his on an istick also.
He's the one who got me into rebuilding so for him to tell me that it's one of his favorites means quite a bit to me lol

I am still on the Aspire Nautilus with BVC coils and Kayfun-style RTAs and building coils.

The makers of "toppers" have determined that having a combo coil/rebuildable keeps customers with their product and that their "special" coils bring in more money.

I don't want to discredit them, whatever works for the user.

I got an atlantis after 6 weeks of vaping and thought it was superior to the N mini I started with. Then I got tired of lung hits, dry flavor, high power consumption, and found I was going back to my N minis for the flavor and vapor quality. Then I got tired of buying the N mini coils and replacing them too frequently. My goal was to get the flavor and vapor quality in an RTA comparable to the N mini. That was accomplished by running a Kanger sub mini RTA with coils wrapped for the same 1.6 ohms as the N mini bvc coils, the same restricted draw, and the same watts I was using on the N mini. The N minis are now reserved for backup and the Atlantis is gathering dust.

I also have an Egrip with RTA. I build it with 1.6 ohm coils, restrict the air flow with a peice of aluminum foil wedged into the RTA air supply use the about the same 10-14 watts as the N mini and it equals or exceeds the N mini experience. It appears vape quality is more dependent on watts, ohms and air supply than on the particular hardware you might have on hand.

Clouds are for kids.
