One more thing, i cant seem to get the ohm to be at 0.5. Even when im using the 1.5 occ it shows that it is on 1.8 ohm. What could be causing this?
There can be a variance in the ohms of stock of coils. The only way to get lower ohms is to wing another coil. What determines the ohm are Wire size , mandrel size and number of wraps. You should have a Ohm reader. Go here and play with it Steam Engine | free vaping calculators Might help you to understand it better.
Good Luck

Does the subox have some sort of voltage cutoff? Because i've read somewhere that they said it will stop firing if it goes below 3.6v. But mine goes to 3.4v but still firing

I think it does. Most do.

But I don't have one. So I'm not sure what the Cut-Off level is.
