Subtank mini and max VG juice?

When I vaped 50/50 juice my Kanger Subtank mini was excellent with factory .5 heads and the RBA deck worked pretty good too. Now that I have switched to high VG and max VG juice....not so much. Dry hits with .5 heads have become the norm and the RBA deck became useless. The RBA deck is now showing promise since I modified it by drilling two 5/32" holes in it like the v2 deck has.

Am I missing something or do Kanger heads just not wick high VG and max VG juice well? Both of my other sub ohm tanks ( Morpheus v2 and Uwell Crown) are amazing vapes with the same juice.

I gave up on high vg in my stm. I now run no more than 60 or 70vg, and even at that I have to poke a hole in the wicks with a needle. I just bought some new vertical coils though, so we'll see if that makes a difference.

Hopefully Kanger will come out with a head that handles high vg better. Right now if I can't get the RBA working, this tank will be of little use to me.
