Me again :(....

I'm having an issue whereby once i've changed my coil and primed it etc, the tank does not fit back firmly to the air flow base, it leaves a gap maybe the size of the width of a credit card if that makes sense. The black bit (black subtank mini) does not touch the glass tank.

Is this normal and if not any suggestions?

EDIT: If I remove the coil it fits perfectly back together, when tried with the coil it leaves the gap I mentioned. The coil is on as firmly as it will go.

Thanks

Check that the Seal from the last Coil head did not stick to the Tank.

Are you sure you have Authentic Tank and Heads?

Are you unscrewing the Base from the mod or attempting an upside down install? Some people do this, but it could hole the center pin to high.

The code checked out on the kanger site as genuine/authentic.

I have completely removed the tank from the mod.

Both the supplied 0.5 and 1.2 cause the issue. As i say it fits perfectly when no coil is inserted.

Ths .5 should have been installed originally. Was it properly fitted on receipt? If so, you are just not getting things tightened down properly.
The base should screw on fairly easily then suddenly get snug. This is when the Coil seal contacts the chimney. This is also where more force needs to be exerted to tighten it fully.

I have got it to work now.

The coil was simply too tight. I've no idea how untightening the coil slightly (making it taller in the tank) made it fit better. It's baffled me. I simply loosened the coil by maybe an 8th of a turn and the bottom screws in perfectly. Primed it with my Iron Brew flavored 50/50 12mg and letting it sit. I'll give it its first blast tomorrow when the juice in my older tank is empty.

Thank for your input @crxess it's appreciated

I was at Derall Ecigs site earlier and they sell Kanger clone tanks which look exactly like genuine Kanger tanks box and all. Just say highest quality clone....
Kanger Sub Tank Nano Complete Kit

Makes me wonder how many people think they have genuine Kanger tanks when they are clones?

Not to say that was this persons problem.

Your Base is slightly mis-threaded. Tightening fully is causing a slight angle, binding the Coil head and the chimney stack.

Not the first time and likely not the last.:sneaky:

The coil may have tilted a bit and not letting the chimney fit down into the coil properly.

So is this issue (on a brand new tank) something I should contact the seller over? the tank cost me £22 so it's not like im just going to nip out and buy another. Will having the coil slightly less tight cause me any issues?

My product is genuine as the code checked out just fine, maybe I just have a wonky tank.

If the Tank shows no signs of leaking, it is not a problem. Best rule to follow for most vape related connections is tighten to snug, so to tight may be just that.

Attempting to replace the tank may only lead to receiving another with the same or some other issue. Nothing is 100% in manufacturing.

You will have to decide for yourself. I personally would not bother, knowing what to do for a functional fitting tank.
