The sub tank minis came with peek insulators already I thought. My full size sub tank didn't, but I don't like the airflow on that one so I only use occ heads in that any ways

Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.
I liked the bigger airflow when I first got the Mini but now I find myself going back to the full size. Depends on the juice too. Great to have both.

I love that twisted wire! Is the overall concept of the twisted wire being that you can use smaller gauge, wrap less wraps and still have a "low" resistance?
for example (just using FICTIONAL numbers), using twisted wire 32 ga with 6 wraps gets you .8 ohm vs that same 32 ga NON-twisted wire would be like 10-12 wraps to get the same resistance?

I guess wrapping my head around it (pun intended!), since smaller ga wire is usually easier to bend and wrap then your larger gauge wires are, then using a twisted wire would allow you to use smaller gauge (easier to work with) but still get into those low resistances without so many wraps. Is this correct thinking?

Higher exposed surface area compare to mass of wire used.

12/11, 26g Nichrome60, 3mmID, 1.4 ohm, Wicked with KGD. Pretorched coil then then fired and squeezed mounted in head...As big of clouds as any of my RDAs, and incredible flavor.

My latest occ rebuild. 26 gauge kanthal. This one is 6 wraps (3 per side) on 3mm. 1.1 ohm. The one I'm using is there same but 4 wraps per side for 1.3 ohm. I really like it, chain vaping at 25 watts with no dry hits...seems to wick better this way. Made the pictured one lower ohm because the larger one was tricky getting it through the top hole :p

(it's lined up with the wick holes better then it seems in the pic, had to angle it funny to get rid of camera flash reflection :p)

Hey guys, my first twisted coil build was great for a few weeks. However, I ended up changing to a 32ga twisted build and rewicking. It did great for a week, and now I'm occasionally getting burnt hits, especially over 25watts. I've wicked the ribs deck so that theres slight tug to get the wick through the coil, and cut it short enough that the wick just barely mops the juice well. Any ideas?
