I have had nothing but a bad experience with using the new subtank nano.
I dont get why anyone would want to vape in this manner. My opinion is that it is to intense in flavor. It feels dreadful every lungfull. It feels like im just taking in raw ejuice every hit. The whole purpose for vaping is to deliver nicotine in a pleasant flavorful manner with just the right balance of flavor to make it interesting and enjoyable.
from my experience so far its been a really unhealthy nauseating experience and it annoys me greatly that this is the direction vaping is focusing.
It needs to be dialed down a notch and brought back into reality.
The aerotank mega and the nautilus mini I believe need just a little bit more tweaking but not by alot in my opinion. Its all about consistent wicking to be able handle say around 5 volts with no dry burn. Thats the sweet spot we should be aiming for. Just want a nice smooth punch not a revolting guzzling of ejuice effect. Your just making it way too complex In order to get a good vape.
again just my opinion.
I vaped initially at 12mg 50 50 and first drag I actually saw black spots and was dizzy. Then dialed down to 6mg to 70pg 30 still impossable to enjoy finaly 3mg 65pg 35vg and nope gave up its so wrong I just couldn't take it any more.
A real shame indeed. Dont believe all the hype.

I'm glad you found what works for you!

It is a different journey for each person. Sub-ohm coils might not be right for you - for me, they are just right (at a certain point - different for everyone. I like .5 to 1.2 ohms usually, other people like to go way lower!)

I have the same...well, similar experience with ,my nano, but I have to tell you that I still understand the other side. In my local B&M i tried juices (all 0nic) on a .3-.5 dripper on a mech they had. It's a big difference!! I personally may not like to vape 0 nic, but I get it!

There's your problem, you're using high PG blends...

If you're trying to do mouth to lung inhales that could also be part of the problem as well. Some people have had success with mouth to lung, but I'd venture to say that the vast majority of Subtank users are doing lung hits.

Well, to each his own for sure. For me personally vaping at 5 watts I wouldn't even be able to tell I'm vaping. I use only RBAs/RDAS and I like to sub ohm vape. Nothing crazy just a .5 to.7 ohm at 20 to 30 watts is my sweet spot. It just goes to show how everyone is so very different. I always say choices are a great thing to have! Also though, I'm very cautious not to say my way is the "best or "only" way to do it. I also try to be cautious about saying this SHOULD be done this way or that. I am very happy with my 150 watt box mod but that does not mean everyone SHOULD be using one. I'm very happy you found what works for YOU. That's what it's all about. However it does NOT mean your way works for everone. In all honesty I would be absolutely miserable if I had to vape at 5 watts. I'd probably go back to smoking! But this is why we have so many different choices. What's enjoyable for YOU might be miserable for another. Choices are always good. We are ALL different. I'm glad about that. What a boring world it would be if we were all the same! We just have to remember, just because WE don't like something, does NOT mean it should stop being recommended. We have to keep in mind each persons differences and try to be respectful abut them. What ever works for that person should be celebrated! It's helping one more person not smoke! Keep the big picture in mind and let's celebrate our differences and be greatful for the choices available to us. Let's stay mindful what might be right for one might not work for another. Everyone's reactions are different. Again, I'm so glad you found what's right for you! However that does not mean we shouldn't recommend the Sub tank. Many people absoultely love it! Just remember, we are all different. Having a lot of choices is a great thing! This way there will be something that different people can find that works for them and suits their vaping style and needs.

I sort of agree with you...... I use my subtanks occasionally when i want a full lungful of vapour and big clouds. The rest of the time it's back to Kayfuns at 15w.
I prefer mouth to lung and the subtanks don't work for that - it's either too hot or too intense. Direct lung inhale is the only way to use them.
Also agree that using high PG blends in a subtank is a no-no. Way too much throat hit.

Having just received my Sub Tank last night I have not formed an opinion yet. My first impressions are that it is definitely different then my Plum Vails on Mechs. The Flavor is amazing but maybe too much????? I am not sure yet. But I am liking it so far. To me, it is no different then when I started building on the Plum Vails. I can say that my Big Red flavor hits way too hard in it :vapor: I am going to play around with both my nic level and PG/VG mix over the next week to see if I can settle in.

I also love my subtanks and I mouth to lung with with the heads or rba section never had a problem at all but that's vaping we're all different and have different tastes my sweet spot is 1.8ohms on the rba section good balance between flavour and vapour but YMMV. Apart from two liquids I am using 70\30 pg VG and getting a good vape but maybe the nano is different but I did smile at the too much flavour not exactly a common complaint :).

Up until I switched to a DNA 40 mod with temperature control, I had never sub ohm vaped with my Subtank. I built my own coils to about 1.3 ohms and vaped at 16-19 watts. The Subtank did introduce me to direct lung inhales, which I currently love. IMHO, the Subtank is not designed for people who do mouth to lung vaping. Also, IMHO, sub ohming is not for people who do mouth to lung vaping.
