Sorry for coming off a little preachy. I guess I was just a bit annoyed having invest the money on this tank after watching all the reviews and it just seemed like it was the logical progression. I really like the idea of getting into rebuidables as a bit of fun so I guess I needed to try this first just to be sure it was worth it. So is there a good rebuildable setup for mouth to lung hitters. Maybe I can get the perfect set up for me. To dial it down where I can use my current 50 50 12mg juices and get a nice flavor without choking me to death. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Honestly, it sounds like you're a mouth to lung type of person. I am as well 95 percent of the time. A lot of people may dispute this, but for me a kayfun lite clone or authentic gives me the tighter draw and great vapor/flavor that I prefer. I have not tried a sub tank but I would imagine that even on it's tightest airflow setting it is still airier than what you are looking for. Drop 35 bucks on an EHpro kayfun lite plus and build it with a standard microcoil. You will probably be immensely satisfied by the result. They are incredibly easy to set up and there is a wealth of tutorials on it via youtube and this forum. There is a reason these tanks have had such an impact and you will find they crush your earlier clearomizers.

Don't follow the trends because it's just an endless money sink in the search for some unicorn and a lot of it is just hyped marketing for new products. Find what works for you and optimize those results. Just my 2 cents friend.

I would probably recommend a regulated device with a tank like a Lemo so you can customize it to your liking/juice.

Oh great, this again. I am glad you like to vape at lower power, I can very easily understand why as well. You must like a cooler vape, you feel it provides better flavour and isnt as hot this that and the third. I get it, so why on earth can't you try to understand why some people like it the other way. I like a warm to hot vape, I like my vapor to be extremely dense and I like the flavor I get from RDAs on mech mods built at about .25 ohms and I like pushing about 50 watts out of a regulated device. Who really cares man? Do what you like and I will do what I like but (and I KNOW I am not the only one) I am getting so bored of seeing the same thread every three days stating you cant get why ANYONE would EVER sub-ohm and the BEST flavor comes from the power level you use. Its getting down right foolish man, I would NOT even BEGIN to enjoy vapeing if I had to go back to lower wattage devices and higher ohm toppers and I guess you do NOT enjoy high wattage devices and low ohm toppers but you dont need to get on here and essentially say your way is the only way and no one in there right mind would like sub ohm vapeing. Tons of people who DO NOT DO IT FOR THE CLOUDS love to vape at sub ohm and some love to go super low in builds. I get some intense flavor from a .1 dual coil at 120 watts on my regulated devices. I DO NOT do it for the clouds hence why I use flavor attys, the clouds are simply a by product. I do not make threads saying I CANT SEE HOW YOU LIKE 10 WATTS ON A 1.5 OHM COIL so can we PLEASE STOP with this constant barrage against people who enjoy lower resistance builds. I bet if you tried this .5 ohm parallel single coil I have in my Tugboat v2 you would enjoy it though. I have a feeling you just did NOT give it enough time to get used to it or used the wrong topper or something because while it is NOT FOR EVERYONE and THAT IS FINE I personally haven't met to many people who dislike a mild sub-ohm build designed for good flavour like the one I have in my v2 Tugboat here. It is a dense, warm (not hot) and extremly flavorful vape. I personally think if done right sub-ohm vapeing is superiour to higher ohm vapeing but that's whats cool about this. There is lots of diffrent methods and the most important part is staying away from cigs.

I vaped initially at 12mg 50 50 and first drag I actually saw black spots and was dizzy. Then dialed down to 6mg to 70pg 30 still impossable to enjoy finaly 3mg 65pg 35vg and nope gave up its so wrong I just couldn't take it any more.
A real shame indeed. Dont believe all the hype.

If I am reading you right, you started with 12mg 50/50 and didn't like it. Then you dropped the nic level, which is good, but upped the PG. I would suggest dropping the nic level to at least 6mg and up the VG to 65/35 or so. I am not familiar with the nano, but if anything near the ST or ST mini, I would think that would at least help. If it does at all, that gives you something to work with.

I loved my 18mg 50/50 before getting a ST and immediately picked up enough of the same juice at 0mg to mix and cut it to 9, but that was still too high for me. I cut it again and have only used 6mg at a minimum of 60VG since. Good luck!

It was only an opinion from my first experience. Of course your right but it is what it is. I think I will take your advice sproutacus and try the kayfun lite micro coil build and then get some 100percent vg just to smooth out that throat hit. im also new to this forum so if this is a touchy topic again my apologies. Im sure ill learn as I go.

Yeah the higher pg creates a harsher vape. Higher vg smoother but less flavorful

I have had nothing but a bad experience with using the new subtank nano.
I dont get why anyone would want to vape in this manner. My opinion is that it is to intense in flavor. It feels dreadful every lungfull. It feels like im just taking in raw ejuice every hit. The whole purpose for vaping is to deliver nicotine in a pleasant flavorful manner with just the right balance of flavor to make it interesting and enjoyable.
from my experience so far its been a really unhealthy nauseating experience and it annoys me greatly that this is the direction vaping is focusing.
It needs to be dialed down a notch and brought back into reality.
The aerotank mega and the nautilus mini I believe need just a little bit more tweaking but not by alot in my opinion. Its all about consistent wicking to be able handle say around 5 volts with no dry burn. Thats the sweet spot we should be aiming for. Just want a nice smooth punch not a revolting guzzling of ejuice effect. Your just making it way too complex In order to get a good vape.
again just my opinion.

I would imagine the guy who bought a Honda Fit made the same complaint when what he needed was a Ford F150. In both cases making the sweeping generalization that it's over rated is nonsense.

I use an Infinite VaporFlask DNA40 clone - I will probably never go over 28w - even with my RDAs. I vape the 1.2 Ohm coil at 18w in my STM and the 0.5 Ohm coil at 22w in my STN. Juice in both tanks is high VG (one being all VG). I did try my STM with a high PG juice once and it was awful. Then I tried the RBA deck - couldn't build to save my life. Then I found a juice that worked for me and used the stock 1.2 OCC coil - wonderful! Then I learned to take lung hits - helped tons. Will I ever use higher PG juice in it again? Nope. Personal preference says stay away. Will I try the RBA deck again? Someday, but not right now, because I'm happy with how I vape. It's a learning process. You learn what works for you and go with it. TorontoOntario prefers sub ohm at higher wattage - good for TO! I prefer around 1 or 1.2 ohm at lower wattage - good for me! If you are vaping safely, there is no right or wrong answer. I still use an eGo Twist Battery with EVOD Glass tanks for certain juices. It's all about what works for you - and keeping off of analogs.

Don't put 100% vg in a kayfun lite :). Its difficult to get it to wick well. Try 50/50.

I got a pretty GREAT "SWEET SPOT" for me right now with my orchid v5 at .6 SUB OHM and running at 40 WATTS. oh well, everyone is different and that's ok but you cant generalize a term like "WE" Should be finding our sweet spot at 5 watts. That wouldn't work for me. I'd be smoking in no time! So whatever works for you is great but you can't expect it to be right for others because it's right for you. We are all different and that's ok :)

I was using a MVP3 at 12watts it was a 1.2 coil. Also used it on a evic supreme same wattage.
The 1.2 ohm coil is not a subohm coil... how can subohm vaping be overrated if you weren't even subohming?

Well regardless try higher VG before fully giving up, I know several people who are 100% happy/satisfied with their nauti's but for me? I wanted the subtank and love it I now have two RDAs in the mail and want to get the goblin RTA next.
