Get yourself a lemo or lemo drop and try that very versatile tank that you can build easily to suit whatever it is your looking for :). Ignore anything negative you might have got this is a vaping forum that is open to all regardless of their individual taste and I always smile when people attack a thread complaining of being tired of reading when when they clicked to enter takes all sorts I guess. Persevere as many of us had to you rarely find your ideal without a bit of trial and error.

Sorry for coming off a little preachy. I guess I was just a bit annoyed having invest the money on this tank after watching all the reviews and it just seemed like it was the logical progression. I really like the idea of getting into rebuidables as a bit of fun so I guess I needed to try this first just to be sure it was worth it. So is there a good rebuildable setup for mouth to lung hitters.

The Lemo. It is virtually the same thing as a Kayfun except with adjustable airflow. Can adjust it about as tight or loose as you want.

It was only an opinion from my first experience. Of course your right but it is what it is. I think I will take your advice sproutacus and try the kayfun lite micro coil build and then get some 100percent vg just to smooth out that throat hit. im also new to this forum so if this is a touchy topic again my apologies. Im sure ill learn as I go.

I think you'll be pretty satisfied for a good long while if you choose that route. Kayfuns are affordable and are still the gold standard of rtas in my humble opinion. Rock solid and a great place to start. I usually build my coils between 1.3 and 1.8 ohms. Usually 7-9 wraps of 28 gauge kanthal around a 2 mm screwdriver or drillbit. Easy build and super satisfying. You'll find it comfortable between 8 and 13 watts. Wicking is really important so watch some tutorial videos on how to do it properly. You don't want too much or too little wick. Once you get it down you'll be able to rewick quickly when required and you will get a super consistent and enjoyable vape.
A lot of people recommend the lemo over the kayfun in this thread but I have not tried one so I can't say for sure. From what I've read and heard however, the Kayfun is still the king of mouth to lung tanks in terms of build materials, machining, and overall look. I mean, the lemo is basically just a cheap kayfun with lung hit potential and lower quality materials. More of that hype train from where I'm sitting. Go Kayfun lite plus bro.
Mine are all EHpro and they're flawless and solid.

Thats the sweet spot we should be aiming for

this is commonly the basis of the vitriol i take offense to.

the sub tank is merely capable of far less than it takes to satisfy me as far as output goes.

the sub tank is capable of far more than it takes to gag people i've turned onto vaping as far as output goes.

i teach them how to vape to their satisfaction. i do not tell them they have to do it my way.

we are all different.

Wouldn't it be more correct to say "subtank sub ohm vaping isn't for everyone"?

BUT, would you have known that you don't like it if you hadn't tried it?

Just like I would never be able to handle what Beckdg vapes, he'd throw my vape out with the trash.

I Just got the subtank nano this week...using a MVP3 with the .05 OCC coil was way too hot for me above 16w. After reading and watching some youtube vids it was recommended to try the mini if the nano was "too hot"

I went to my local b&m today and bought the mini .... Much better for me I've been between 20 & 25W using 6mg 70/30 CLS for about 3 hours now....and it's amazing...No burnt lips, no popping noise, and the vape is nice ...Warm & tasty, doesn't seem "scalding" to me.

    Best of Luck to you

Can only agree with what others have already said on here I really do like where gaping is going with the sub ohm tanks. But it is a very big step up and some are going to struggle with sub ohm vaping. I love my Aspire Atlantis and am already contemplating getting another sub ohm set up.

    But each to their own.

Up until I switched to a DNA 40 mod with temperature control, I had never sub ohm vaped with my Subtank. I built my own coils to about 1.3 ohms and vaped at 16-19 watts. The Subtank did introduce me to direct lung inhales, which I currently love. IMHO, the Subtank is not designed for people who do mouth to lung vaping. Also, IMHO, sub ohming is not for people who do mouth to lung vaping.
I've mouth to lung vaping from the very beginning and even as a smoker, I always did it mouth to lung. When I bought an Atlantis, it was my very first lung hit experience and I'll admit, it took some getting used to. The nicotine rush from the increased vapor also knocked me on my .... But after spending a few days with it and adapting, its now the only way I vape. I'm mostly using RDA's now but still use the Atlantis on occasion.

Now sure. It might not be for everyone but I also feel that not enough people give it a chance before forming an opinion like the OP.

I don't understand how the OP could have even formed that opinion, since he stated he was using a 1.2 ohm coil. How can anybody state that sub-ohming, regardless of the tank used, is over-rated....when they haven't done it. As my generation used to say, that just blows my mind, man. :vapor:

It does take some getting use to, but you can MtL the Subtanks - even with the airflow wide open. I normally lung hit on my subtanks, but had to MtL for a few days after I pulled my back.

Personally I love my Sub-Tank Mini. I got it on an Istick 30w. I gotta say i like it a lot. I can't imagine dropping back down to an aerotank or anything. This gives me the hits I need. I am a mouth to lung hitter. I used to also do this when I smoked as well. I usually get my juices at a 80/20 VG/PG ratio. I find I prefer a higher VG amount. I liked this before I switched over. I found it gave a smoother hit usually. It holds true on my sub-tank as well. The reason I went with the mini was because I heard out of the kanger sub-tanks it had the best airflow. That and the nano doesn't hold near enough juice for me. These things go through juice quick. lol. I like a lot of airflow with my vape so I keep the airflow wide open. Still I can see why it wouldn't be for everyone. I have found I prefer the 0.5 ohm coil over the 1.2. The flavor is much to strong and harsh with the 1.2 ohm. BTW I also vape at 12 mg nic
