It is time for me to invest in another mech mod and the Subzero is one of the contenders.

I am interested in getting the one with the short switch, but the 1 and only thing putting me off is the oring which makes up part of the switch mechanism. For those that have them, have you had any problems with these? Surely once they snap the switch is rendered useless until a replacement is found?

I've owned my SOI Subzero for 6 months or so and I bought it used. This thing has never given me any problems. The oring for the clutch system is a common size for rdas so I'm sure you have some laying around. The delrin piece has never been a issue and I haven't heard of them being a issue at all. I have never had a hot button unlike my rig v2 and several clone mechs I have kicking around. This is 100% my favorite mech and highly recommend it. Hope you figure out your next mech mod purchase.

The mod hasnt been available long enough to see the problem surface, however every single mod that has used a pressed or threaded delrin disc to secure switch parts have problems that are obvious.
Its beyond crazy for a company to use that design this late in the game.

Glad to hear it is working out for you. I went for a brass Switch Mods V2 in the end. It seemed to tick all the boxes.
