Sucess story!! (I think?)

So after finally ordering a Vapor 4 Life e-cig, I decided it was time to give up cigarettes. I was a heavy smoker, smoking 2, sometimes 3 packs a day of Marlboro reds or Lucky Strike non-filters and I'm only 21 years old, with my dad already having had lung cancer (he survived, but still puffs some) so needless to say, I HAD to do something. I received my order and began vaping, smoked my last Marlboro red, and got about 7 days in before I started craving the HELL out of analogs. I tried the 555 flavored Dekang liquid and loved the almondy taste, so I looked up 555 cigarettes and read all these amazing reviews on them. Just so happens, I ended up in a city that sold them in a fancy cigar shop and I HAD to try them. I lit up for the first time in 8 days and I have to say...I was so disappointed. After vaping for a week, the taste of a real cigarette was so nasty to me! I guess when you smoke a lot, your taste buds learn to ignore the nasty, ashtray after-taste of an analog but I definitely got it today...I have to say, the 555 e-liquid absolutely DESTROYS the actual flavor of one of those nasty things, lol. So I really do feel like I put my cravings to rest today...sure, I made it 8 days in and slipped up, but that slip-up made me realize how nasty a habit smoking really is, and I don't regret it! Just wanted to share that with you all and good luck to everyone with their own attempts at quitting analogs! Thanks for reading!

I did the same thing, vaped for a few days, tried an analog, found it was gross. I went a few more weeks with no cig's, tried another, it was totally disgusting. Tried another and put it out after a few puffs. I gave away my last unopened pack of analogs and threw away a half pack. I haven't looked back. I'm no longer a smoker, I'm a vaper.

As others here have said, it's not like AA where you have to turn in your chip and start over :). For 8 days, you didn't smoke, and you're not smoking now, right? It's the cumulative effect over time that does all the damage, and you're well on your way to reversing it. I actually tell people to try an analog after about 2 weeks; they universally reply with "yuck", lol.

Congrats! Kewl story.
