So I'm still pretty green to building and dripping, this gonna sound really bad, but I just did a build on my Mutation and I wicked it, then I saturated my coils, very nice looking build, but I forgot to test fire my coils....do I need to start over?? Thanks for any replies....

just take the wick out and pulse it to get the hotspots out and make sure its heating from the middle out etc. No need to recoil it!! Always best to check the resistance and make sure it is what you were aiming at, or close to it! Be safe mate!!

LOL... I've been doing spaced coils for so long (no exotics)... I've forgotten that I own ceramic tweezers. :p

eta... actually ordered them recently, never needed them for tweezing/pulse firing. Now I want to do a contact build again just to get to use them. :D

And yeah Paul... you only needed to do it if you had contact coils.
But as you found, it's easy and only costs you a wick.

First up please don't denigrate yourself, no one knows everything.
Another factor not mentioned yet is that your wire will have machine oil and other impurities on it from the manufacturing process. Dry burning a coil will dispose of these. Machine oil tastes horrible, is toxic and does not belong in your lung-bags.
