Okay. I got my new DCT cart; filled it as per instructions/video recommended on this site.

Drew in; flooded it immediately. :(

What now?

It's been drying out overnight; gooey liquid WAS everywhere last night. What a huge mess. Tell me I can still use it???

Thanks anyone for help. I'm so new. Just wanted something more pleasing than these refillable cartos.

Ugh.

Apparently flooding these is common?

Understand also pressure does buildup in the tank and it has to be "equalized" every so often. Just allow some air in when you see bubbles coming out of hole. Here;s another tip:
"Quick-tip - once its half empty you can depressurize it by removing the screw for 15 sec. This alows E-liquid to flow into the carto freely to help prevent a dry hit."
Tanks - Mom and Pop Vapor Shop
Of course you don't have the side screw but just to give you an idea of pressure building up.
I pre punch my own cartos and use 70/ 30 PG/ VG. One hole 2.5 mm wide. The toughest part about a carto/ tank systems is getting the right wicking/ feeding of juice. Once you solve that you'll love the tank system.
Good Luck.

Short answer, should be saturated enough still, you aren't going to get all the liquid out, just the majority built up near the threaded part.

Simple answers for a simple question :)

Welcome to ECF!

PS, you can put it on you PV without the tank on and take a couple quick puffs to check for saturation before putting it back in the tank and filling the tank.

You have to put your finger over the hole in the carto otherwise too much airflow.

Okay I have successfully vaped with my finger over the hole; a bit of vapor, more like what you'd get in a disposable ecig; not what I have gotten dripping on my vv.

The carto still gurgles like it's flooded in the beginning of the drag...

Blow it out again and start all over???? ugh...:(

or you can try the reverse Taryn spin- note the vid below is for filling but I've used it for emptying cartos. Use an empty condom. Starts at 5:08

HOLY BUCKETS!!!!

I dunno' if I CAN blow that hard - what with all the damage 20 years of ciggies has done to me!!!

WHEW!

I will try again when I recover some oxygen to my system.

Thanks again.

You can always order extra flavor. If you're really stuck on dripping which I can understand as the vape is incredible you may want to look at a bottom feeder as your next PV purchase.

Holy man!

It worked!

Thanks, all y'all.

It mutes the flavor compared to the dripping, but it works!!! :)

I never should have dripped. It is awesome, you're correct.

I have seen people speaking of a bottom feeder. What exactly is it? Best one to buy - recommendation?

Thanks!

I perfer my tobacco flavors and some strong fruits in cartos, where as I perfer most other things by drip or wicked. You'll find what flavs you like to use in what! :)

My NLV gold is good dripping, not so good wicked, but WOW does it come to life in a Carto. But their bounty hunter is great in both drip and carto to me. It's subjective to each person really. :)

Bottom feeder I would say Reo. Or you could buy a gravity feeder like a Phidias or a Vmod and put a tube in the bottle to make it a bottom feeder.

My Phidias.
