Well I didn't want to call this thread 'Pyramid Tea Bag' because there are lots af threads by that name. (Moderators can move this thread where they see fit)

After using the same atty for almost two months on my 510 it was great at first. The throat hit and vapor production was awesome.

After awhile the throat hit and vapor began die. At first I thought I was just flooding the atty and I did sometimes. I felt like I had to blow out my atty more often than when I first started using it.

It felt like I was sucking a milkshake through a straw. These are manual batteries BTW. I would have to hold the button down for a half second to a couple seconds and do a pre-puff (like smoking a cigar) and then do a nice slow milkshake type drag just to get good vapor and throat hit. I was basically overworking the atty. Even using new carts didn't help the wicking process.

Well I started using the Pyramid tea bag filler instead of the standard filler that comes in a cart and it is so much better. It no longer feels like sucking a milkshake. It now feels almost like sucking just straight milk, but maybe a little thicker. Now the atty doesn't have to get as hot to get good vapor, and I'm still using the same atty that came with the kit.

So for those of you who think that the atty is not doing it's job...It could be that...or it could be your wicking material.

Did you actually change cartridges while you were at it? Since the draw-air doesn't actually pass through the filler material (poly or PTB), it shouldn't have any effect on the "draw".

But.. I did have fibers from my old poly filler get down into the atty, and change the draw characteristics (semi-clog).

So I'm wondering if the change in the cart filler material actually changed your "draw" experience, or was it just due to a new cart with perhaps more open airways?

It all had to do with the wicking ability. I know that the vape draw does not pass through the material. It was all about overworking the atomizer and getting it hotter than normal IMO in order to produce a good drag. I think the poly was also to close to the atty bridge. The poly would always get pushed down by the bridge, so that may be the reason for lack of air flow.

Pehaps I could of took some of the poly fiber out of the cart and could of had the same results. I will try it right now and repost to let you know.

I cut some of the standard poly fill off the end of a cart and pushed it back down so it would not get push down by the bridge of the atty. It was pretty much the same level as my tea bag cart and I got the same results from both carts as far a airflow. The tea bag IMO produces more vapor. I keep switching carts between the tea bag and the poly fill and the tea bag seems to be a better wicking material.
