So my wife and I have recently decided to give vaping a shot at kicking our addiction to analogs. Until recently I only knew about one or two people that have tried e-cigs and they referred to them as vaporizers, not e-cigs. A friend on another forum mentioned that he was trying this and inspired my wife and I to give it a shot. That's how I ended up here. I ordered our first starter kits yesterday as well as some juice from Vaporbomb.Com.

Well, I was all excited about this and posted on my Facebook page that we were jumping on the e-cig bandwagon. It turns out our neighbor across the street has been vaping for the last week. She is down to a couple of analogs a day but vapes the rest of the time. We had no idea she had even started vaping until she posted to my status on Facebook but we thought it was cool we had someone close to us doing well with it. She even brought hers over to show it to us this afternoon. Hers is a 510 model similar to what we have ordered.

Fast forward to tonight. My drummer and I are auditioning a new guitarist for our band. (I play bass.) We rocked out for about an hour and then decided to take a break. The drummer and I sparked up our analogs and the new guitarist pulls out...... You guessed it- a 510 model e-cig. He says he hasn't smoked an analog in two months and is down to a 0mg nic juice.

It's just wild. A week ago e-cigs weren't even on my radar and now it seems like they are everywhere I turn. I am really looking forward to receiving mine (and the wife's) and it's even more encouraging when I hear the success stories of two IRL people close by. It's also encouraging to see that these are becoming a growing trend and hopefully they will gradually be more accepted/understood by the non-smokers/non-vapers around us.

Now if we can just keep them legal, they can start to spread even farther. PV's are a bit of work initially. Finding the right equipment, getting the right this and that. Then once you are 'free' you want to share it with everyone, just not your personal pet PV.

Never even blinked at the 'can I bum one' from the buddy that never has a pack, but unless I end up with a few extra batteries laying around, not even gonna let you put your slimy hands on my mod. :D Cant risk theft or destruction. MINE MINE MINE

Still wouldnt mind having a set of batteries like a set of fine china to bring out for company. Can go outside to smoke or sit there and vape a bit and see if you like it as well. Then when you find you like it, I'll set you up with my bestest vendor or two and the ECF forum address. Guess I should have some cards made up with a list. Get this from here and that'll get you started off right. Kinda like taking the training wheels off and letting them learn how not to fall.

I live outside a town with a population of 500. I started vaping in March. Since then, I found out the lady who sells me eggs is vaping, two local 20-something guys are vaping, a lady who sells retail is vaping! So it's growing through word of mouth, like pet rocks or chia pets, only faster because of the internet. Poor media opinions aren't stopping the spread. Threat of a ban isn't stopping the spread. E-cigs work like a charm--I stopped smoking accidentally after 46 years! People TALK about that kind of success and their friends listen. It's nice, isn't it?

The only other person I know of in my little town that's vaping is my boat mechanic and I turned him on to the PV. I was happy to see him at the vape fest we had here in Michigan last weekend and he was sporting a "Precious" so I guess he's getting into it pretty good. You may see him around the forum sometime. Goes by Dr. Fred.

Vry cool WillieB. Similar story here - I started vaping just under a month ago. Less than a week after I had gotten mine, I was on the phone with one of my best friends who told me he wanted to try them to give up smoking; I hadn't mentioned to him yet that I had gone that route, so I gave him some info and sent him the link to this website. He then posted about it on his FB page...as a result of our discussions in those posts, two other friends of ours have now ordered starter kits.

Wow.... Seems like a lot of you have made at least a couple of converts out there. I know of at least two guys at work that I hope to convert. Both have had serious health issues over the last year and the doctors are really on their backs to "quit smoking or die."

One of them is making a seriously valiant effort to go cold turkey from analogs but he cracks every so often due to the nature of the job. He still keeps trying though because he knows what's at stake. I can see him taking to vaping like a duck to water.

The other one has more or less given up. He knows his health is at serious risk but he just can't seem to break from the analogs for more than a day. As a result, his attitude has more or less become, "I guess if I die then I won't have to worry any more." I'm hoping once he sees there is an alternative, his attitude might become a little less fatalistic.

I really hope that the threats of e-cigs getting banned never come to pass and people start to realize this is a GOOD thing. Of course, with our government's track record, we know they will always side with big business (tobacco industry) over the welfare of the people so it's anyone's guess what will happen.
