Looking for a nice and solid mech mod...non telescoping with a lock ring. If a Manhattan had a lock ring it would be the perfect mech for me. Telescoping is ok if the threads are really good. (My nemesis clone threads were junk) Looking for something less than $50. Any ideas?

Magnetic switch is a plus.

Thank you!!!!

    +1

I have both the silver and the black. And 3 other Stingrays :)

If you can spend more, Metal Madness Vapors in Greece has some Poldiacs and Nanos on sale. The euro is way down so they're a bargain. But, the shipping is high, but extremely fast. Great mechs for what you will pay even with shipping.

I love my GP Paps clone. So much, I ordered 3 more of them.

If this is your first mech I'd recommend a Launcher V2, but you don't want telescoping and you want a lock ring...so that one's out LOL.

I prefer lock rings myself, but don't let that deter you from a SMPL though, the button is so hard to press you won't ever have to worry about accidentally firing in your pocket or whatever.

I love my King clone. Regular solid brass one -- I got one in an Ebay auction for $16 and I wasn't expecting the quality I received.

Telescopic center pin (so nice when the tubes are a set size, you can get a firm atty connection and easily adjust between flat/button batteries without having to screw with the firing mechanism), reverse threaded locking ring, nice solid body with very clean, smooth threading.

I also bought a Nemesis clone for my girl and it's garbage compared to my King clone. I'll be buying another King shortly.

I don't have it, but one mech I'm eyeing and looks sickly slick is the KSS mod (clone)- Single copper tube, recessed with a locking ring, mag switch. More likely than not my next mod purchase. From the few reviews I've seen on it, it's supposed to be good and consistent. Only thing is that it's a hybrid (which could be good or bad, depending on yr inclination)
