I only have three flavors (it was a 2nd-hand gift). The only "leaded" on is 6mg and it's cherry, which I hated at first, but has grown on me. The other two are 0mg, one vanilla (I really like that) and the other mint (which actually tastes like green apple). I like coffee, vanilla, white chocolate, and chocolate flavors. But I can also see trying some fruits, and frankly, I'm fascinated by the idea of a bacon flavored juice. LOL That will be down the line when I've got a few bucks to burn. I was thinking of getting maybe a vanilla, a coffee/latte/cappuccino type, a mint, and maybe apple or cotton candy or something sweet. How much does VG cut down on flavor? I'm thinking of trying a mix of mixes - varying the PG/VG on the high end of the VG scale. Like I said, my throat kinda hurts, and I don't know if it's the PG, or a cold or what, but I care more about inhaling and exhaling vapor - the throat hit of a analog has never been a plus for me.
A good juice maker will compensate for the VG cutting down the flavor by adding more flavoring. At least that's what I do. Try mixes of like 20%PG/80%VG or 30%PG/70%VG. Ms "Ts" Bakery, Virgin Vapers and ECBlends ar some of the more popular juice vendors but, honestly, there are a million of them and a million opinions on each one. All of the flavors you like are pretty common and you'll find them at just about every juice vendor you see.

I highly recommend ECBlends.. they're my absolute favorite. They have a gazillion flavors, you can completely customize them, extra flavor, double flavor, add sweetener, add vanilla... endless! And their prices are good too.

Ooh, they have 100% VG with a thinner to prevent clogging that's ORGANIC - I like that idea. Hrmmm....At $2-3 for 5mL on most of these sites, to get to 120mL, I'm going to be spending upwards of $75 on juice my first month. Still cheaper than analogs, I guess. It's a good idea to get a vanilla in a larger bottle though, you're right - I can't imagine if I find one with a good review that I'll hate it. :) I was thinking the Dark Horse thing was the way to go, and still do, but their atomizer is out of stock...maybe I can get one of those from whatever juice vendor I go with....

You'll spend that on juice your first month, but when you find a few you really like, the cost will go down considerably. It's usually a lot cheaper to get the larger bottles but you can't really take advantage of that until you know what you like.

By "the Dark Horse thing", did you mean Dark City Vapers? The Hoosier deal comes with 2 atomizers and you can pick up cartomizers on the same site. Not sure if they have the colors you want though. Atomizer usually run about $7 or $8 each.

A tip about vanilla. Vanilla is one of the hardest flavors to pin down. Some tastes sickly sweet, some is overpowering, some is weak and some tastes chemically. With juice, there are easy flavors and hard flavors. Vanilla is a hard one. If you like vanilla, get one from several vendors. That's a good practice with any flavor, but particularly a flavor like vanilla, which is so hard to get to everyone's satisfaction.

15ml bottles are a common size. Maybe try those in the flavors you know you like. Chocolate is an easy one. I've never had a really bad chocolate. That might be one to get in a larger quantity. Coffee flavors are a crapshoot. People can't even agree what good coffee tastes like, let alone the juice. That's one to try from different vendors.

Totally agree about the vanilla.. I haven't tried ECBs yet.. the best one I found was AltCig Vanilla Love. It was good right out of the mail, and improved greatly with age.. no chemical taste, just smooth strong vanilla. It's really hard to find one juice vendor that has everything you like.. I've got bottles from dozens of vendors, just can't seem to settle on one! ECB and Deejstuff are the two I seem to order from regularly though.

Also agree that you'll spend a small fortune on juice the first month or so.. I don't even want to think about what I've spent the last 6 months, but I'm not smoking so I don't care much.. it'll even out eventually. I envy the DIYers,, I'm not that brave yet. And this whole thing is totally FUN!!! Whole new hobby..

I'm not really sure about that... you can thin it down yourself, and sailorman will correct me if I'm wrong, but I've been told you can use vodka or distilled water if it gets too thick. I haven't tried it yet. Vapedudes has a deal like that too, but it sounds like a good start.

One other thing (and I'm trying not to confuse you more!) I've tried the stardust clearos on my KGOs... like, three times because everyone raves about them and I just don't like them. I find the juice flavors extremely muted in them, no matter what I do with them,, low res, standard res,, whatever, I just don't like them. I have far better luck with a plain ol single coil carto... single coil! For me, those perform the best.

I use those atomizers that came in the kit to test flavors.. once in a while I manage to get a decent vape out of them but for everyday I use cartomizers. With the atomizer you'll at least get an idea if you like the juice enough to fill a cartomizer with it. If you're getting 10 bottles of juice to try, get two boxes of cartomizers,,, there's 5 in each. Atomizers are just not convenient unless you want to be dripping every two minutes or so.. it's fine if you're sitting around, but really not convenient for when you're moving around or not home. I just haven't gotten the hang of that whole atomizer thing.. can't stand the dry burnt hits when the juice runs out... start with the cartomizers, then you can research clearomizers later.. there's just too many of them, and more coming out every day. It's an ever-evolving world!

Ah, you SAY you don't want to confuse me more, but then you start taking res, and I'm completely lost. Care to elaborate? I like the idea of a clearo because I hopefully won't burn it out before refilling. Going to bed, will check back tomorrow. Thanks again guys and gals for all your help.

I'm headed to bed too.. I'll check back in with you tomorrow and see if I can UNconfuse you!!

Good mornin farmgirl.. let's see if I can unconfuse you a bit...

This is my red KGO, to give you an idea of it's size. I'm using a cartomizer on it, with a drip tip.
Boge Mix n Match (5 Boxes) This is the best deal around on cartomizers. Five boxes of cartos for $23, you can pick and choose between LR (low resistance) and SR (standard resistance), regular size or XL (XL are longer and hold a bit more juice). And free shipping so less than a dollar apiece is the best deal around IMO. I would recommend getting the LR 2.0,, that's what I've had the best luck with.
Low Resistance 510 Spare Atomizer (Bauway) This is an atomizer. It's just like a carto but without filler to hold the juice, which means you have to keep dripping drops of juice in it. Every 3 or 4 hits, you put 3 or 4 more drops in. I'm not good at knowing when to put more drops in without it flooding and leaking juice all over so I only use them to test new juices. Your KGO kit will come with two of them, make sure to blow them out before you use them, there's a primer fluid in them that tastes crappy!
EGO Vision clearomizers 2.5-2.9ohm These are the "stardust" clearomizers that everyone seems to love. Hoosier has them in 2.5-2.9ohms and 2.1-2.4ohms. I find the flavors terribly muted in these, but that's just me. You might love them. And if you want to try them, I would recommend getting one of each to see which one you prefer. They're more pricey than regular old cartos though. But if you like them, you can rinse them out and reuse them. Most people get many weeks life out of them.

All that being said... what I had the best luck with on my KGOs was 1.7ohm single coil cartos, and 2.0 single coil cartos. Cartos come in single coil or double coil, I prefer single coil. I wouldn't go much above 2.0ohm on a KGO,, higher ohms work better at higher voltages than a KGO puts out. For roughly $60 you can get a nice Titanium KGO kit and two boxes of single coil carto (2.0 ohm low resistance cartomizers) from Hoosier and be good to get started. They have fast shipping too, so you won't be waiting forever for it.

I hope this helps a little bit!
