My first and current vape is an aspire premium kit, the mini nautilus and Cf vv+ battery, not the cheapest but I've been glad for variable voltage. It allowed me to start off on low voltage as I got accustomed to vaping and gradually increase the voltage as I got further along. Easy to fill, coils are decently cheap at around $1 a piece I believe, great flavour, and it looks good IMO.

When I get home, I think it's time to look at box mods though, I want more lol.

Cheap skate beginner - Ego class battery, preferably a twist version /w clearomizer like an Aspire CE5 or Mini Aerotank ($40-45USD)
Solid Beginner - iStick40TC or Mini Volt with a Nautilus, Nautilus Mini or Eleaf GS Air Tank, Ego One Mega, or iJust2 ($50-65USD)
Midrange beginner - Subbox Mini/Nano kit, Nebox kit, Evic Mini VTC Kit, IPV D2 /w Herakles or UWell Crown, rebuildable tank OBS Crius, Griffin, or other clouding tank ($80ish USD)
High Range - Sigelei 150TC, Snowwolf, Kbox 200watt, or Reulaux RX200/DNA200 /w TFV4 or RDA ($130-180USD)

*High ball on prices, that includes a full setup, batteries, chargers, etc, online price about 1/2 to 2/3 quoted.

I just bought my sister, who is a smoker, an innokin endura t18. She said that she is really enjoying it so far. I tried it out myself after giving it to her. It vapes surprisingly well. The draw is much tighter than I prefer, but for a smoker I think it's perfect. From what I remember it feels very much like a cigarette pull. Vapor production is decent. It gives a satisfying amount of vapor, but not so much to overwhelm someone just starting out. I was a little jealous actually. It's a much better starter kit than the one I started with, an evod. I sort of wish I had one for myself actually. I don't have any set ups that I can do mouth to lung on, and I feel like the endura t18 is a very nice MTL vape experience.

Another vote of the Innokin Endura t18 for those coming from cigs. Just don't hit it like a cig. Use an easy draw or face the wrath of those dual top coils. I enjoy the two t18's I have when in the mood for MTL and preferred them before I "advanced" to DL. I also have an Aspire Premium kit with the Nautilus Mini and CF VV battery. The t18 has served me best. YMMV

Hi @CorruptedSanity thanks and how long you've been vaping when you start to keep an eye on mods for advanced vaping? and what you expect from a mod?

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
kangertach topbox or similar product:

1-must be top fill
2-must use common battery incase you 'take vaping to a higher level
3-must be 'parts',, the box is separate from the tank so if 1 part breaks you can replace it with something/anything without a total replacement of your equipment. (ie,, dont go with a Nebox right out of the gate,, mine started acting up forcing me to buy a completely new set up)

"Romenov, post: 17426938, member: 275283"]Hi @CorruptedSanity thanks and how long you've been vaping when you start to keep an eye on mods for advanced vaping? and what you expect from a mod?

Hey @Romenov, I started vaping exactly three weeks ago, recent health problems with my fiance made me want us both to quit so I got us both started on vaping. It's been hard, we've both had a couple analogs since (literally) on bad days. It was a few days ago that I started looking at mods because I've had the voltage cranked on my aspire kit for a while now and sometimes I just with there was more to it.

I've been looking at the kanger topbox mini kit. Seems like the next logical step; more power, more control of vape, entry into building coils in the RBA but still able to throw in a prebuilt if things go south for a period of to time. Not to mention it looks pretty slick.

I like topbox, too! especially the white one, it makes me think that it's a solutation to storm troopers.
3 weeks, you move fast on climbing the ladder to higher vape land, vaping forward!

LOL thanks! Already have two others trying to quit smoking, it's great!

I loved this setup and its the first I recommend to smokers.

I love it, it's a great place to start out. My father in law and his son both smoke and bought these to try and quit.

They're a nice step up from the basics of a EGo-style unit. You pretty much can't go wrong with them or the VTC Mini for a kit of that type.
Congrats as well to you and your GF for making the switch to vaping! And don't fret over the few cigs you've had; look instead at how many you haven't had in that same time.

Cheap skate.[emoji38]
Good post.

Only thing I'd change is the categories of vapers.

Though I'd keep cheap skate.[emoji14]
We're all different and have to find our ways.

As everyday so many newbies of vaping come to join ECF, I suggest a post about kits that friendly to new vapers, and this is it.
Please share your experience and suggestions here, and hope this is helpful for those in need, thanks!
eLeaf iStick Mini ~ $22
KangerTech ProTank II ~$12
Kanger Air Flow Control- $6
Kanger 5-pk of coils (2.2-2.5ohm) -$6
Juice of choice-$6-$15

Works wonders, and this setup will make others want to quit smoking too

Good luck
