I have been using Ego 1350Mah batteries with Mini Vivi Novas with 2.5 Ohm wicks. For the first month and a half I was pretty happy with this setup.I found they were easy to clean fill and vape. Then all of a sudden I started to get dry hits and burnt coils. My juice is the same as the day I started and I still have a couple of my less favourite flavours that I started with and retried those and the same problem persists.I have tried removing the fiber piece around the coils and cleaned the tanks thoroughly with vodka overnight.I will get about 4 nice vapes and then a burnt hit.I have tried a couple of draws without firing the coil, then take a vape and that is a little better but still not great.Fuly charged batteries and using them near the end of the day both produce the same annoying results.Seems to be a wicking issue and I tried adding a couple of drops of vodka to my juice(rationalized this by the fact that the juice I purchace has a disclaimer thet there is alcohol in the juice, pobably to keep the coil clean ) before filling the tanks and that seemed to help a little but it still isnt what I started with.Am I missing something?Got fed up and ordered a Vamo and some different tanks but I dont expect to see them for a week or so.Any suggestions????????

It cannot hurt to replace the head. For an eGo battery, it might be a good opportunity to try a lower resistance. With the 2.5 head you are vaping at around 4-5 watts. You might get good results with the 1.8, it would be closer to 7 watts. The Vamo will let you find the wattage that suits you best. For me, it is about 7.5 watts.

First off, congrats on your VAMO. You will find it a huge and wonderful step up from the eGo. Second, how much do you vape? I see that you cleaned the tanks, but maybe it's time to replace the heads??

Thanks It cant get here soon enough.Easter holiday will put my order into the middle of next week.As for heads it seems to do it with all three resistances(short and long wicks)I own a container of used heads now that is growing at a mind-numbing rate.Saving them in case I decide to rebuild them in the future LOL.It could be my supplier may have went to a cheaper knock-off.When I pick them up they are loose in a plastic bag.Is this how they come or should they be in some sort of packaging?

Yes, I ended up giving away the Vivi Novas and switching to the Kanger T-2's. They are a little warmer vape, which I like. I also have had zero issues. Not sure I have heard any mention of knock off replacement heads. Of course, the supply of Chinese parts is sometimes knock offs of previously existing knock offs.
