When Looking around the forum I found the section here and the recipes. Well.......
I went to the hobby store and found in the candy making section Glycerin and Loranns candy flavors.
Yep I bought some of the supplies and went home to make my own.
i used the watermelon flavoring with the glycerin and a wee bit of water and have a liquid that is sweet, fruity, and has loads of vapor. I did the same with the rootbeer and had horrible results. seems like it burns real fast and smells and tastes like burnt popcorn(?).
Another I made was what Im gonna call lemonwater...
put some lemon extract with 84% alcohol in with the watermelon, and yummmmmm....
So, I was hoping some of those more experienced cld tell me, if I should have done more , less, added something else. Or make suggestions. Ive been vaping the original watermelon i made a few days ago, and Im still alive, lolol, but am i MISSING anything?
Also, why is alcohol put in some liquids, and why everclear or vodka??? I know they have no taste but what if flavored alcohol is used???
Thanks for any help, or suggestions.

Pretty new myself but I had bad results with Lorann rootbeer(Sasafrass) as well. I mixed it with a 18 mg VG and could not get it to blend. Leads me to believe that it is an oil or something. It had two distinct layers of fluid and decided to toss it. It smelled sooooooo good.

It's also my understanding that alcohol is added for throat hit. Everclear is simply pure grain alcohol. Vodka is pure grain alcohol with water added to reduce the proof down. Dunno about flavored alcohol.

The Loranne watermelon reminds me of "Jolly Rancher" candy ... Yummy.

I have never had much luck using LorAnn fruit flavors.

What type of recipe are you guys using? I would like to try it.
I didn't add any nicotine so I did this all by taste and smell, kinda like making spaghetti sauce:).
I use metal measuring spoons in US measurements;
1- tsp Lorann's watermelon
1 1/2 tsp of VG
1/8 tsp water, I have well water so didn't bother with distilled or bottled
this sat over nite and the next day, I decided I wanted to try some lemon extract in it.
so to the above I added
1/4 tsp of lemon (mccormicks) extract with 84% alcohol
Shake it up and todayis the 3rd day since I made it in it's whole and the lemon has gotten a bit stronger each day. I love it really good. You get a hint of lemon at first then the watermelon blends in. I like it a lot!!!!

And you say it tastes good when you vape this? Seems like alot of LorAnn's.

Why did you ask like that?
It is really colorful, but yeah it vapes great, lasts a long time in the atomizer, I direct drip and it has a smooth sweet taste. Must be something about loranns that makes you ask about the qty. of flavor. im really curious now.

The reason I ask is that your recipe is 34.75% Lorann flovoring. When I use more than about 15% Lorann, my fruit mixes take on a Horrible, chemical taste. Perhaps it is the other things in your mix that mellow it out?

Hmmmmm.........
I'm going shopping tomorrow for some new flavors, and I'm going to try using less of the flavoring and see what happens, The charts and %'s are soooooo over my Math restricted brain, i just guess how much to add. This mix has been with me all day, and Ive given some away and It is getting great remarks ...... maybe it's the glycerin I used???
