So I posted here earlier...I'm new to this. I have two 510 manual batteries which I guess are the mini ones that come with the "510 Manual Battery Carto Kit" listed on MadVapes.

I'm not too picky about battery life, I can always have one ready to go since I have two so that doesn't bother me very much. What kind of cartomizers do you guys think work best on these batteries? Will the XL clearomizers that i'm looking at on madvapes work with these? Other than battery life, are there any other reasons I should invest in a better battery? Like compatibility with better cartos etc.

I just want something that works. I started off with a dse901 from aquavapor and it was quite disappointing. Their cartos didn't even last a day each. So i finally recieved this 501 kit (with cartos that don't work, so I have to wait for those replacements) But in the mean time, can anyone suggest anything I should buy to gear me up here?

If your happy with your combo and the battery life stick with it, theirs really no reason to go with another proprietary battery if your happy with that one. The fatt batts like the Ego/Riva will give longer run time and handle LR attys a little better but that's about it.

If your happy with what you have now save up a little for when the time comes your ready to move up then get into a mod where you'll notice a much bigger difference.

Im not actually sure if i'm happy with it yet since the cartomizers they sent me didn't work. I have no idea how long its gonna take for madvapes to send me the replacements so I wanted to order something else while i'm waiting. Has anyone tried any of the 510 clearomizers on the standard 510 starter kit battery?

Oh yeah and are the ego products compatible with 510?

Boge 2.5 ohm cartos should work good with a standard 510 battery, great performers and easy to fill, I would try those.

Boge 510 Atomizer, 2.5 ohms

I use the clearomizers and they are my favorite carto but they do require some tweaking most of the time to get them performing like they should. For starters I would stick with Boge. They work out of the box, once you get something that's working for you try the clearos if you want.

Ego accessories have the same 510 threading so yes in most cases they will work as far as the threading goes. Some products are made exclusively for a Ego battery though and have the cover attached so while it may work it might look funny on a slim 510 battery. Also watch out for the ohm rating on Ego specific things, you don't want to go below 2.5 ohms on a small 510 battery, it stresses the battery to much and battery live isn't that great on the small ones to begin with.

I would recommend a third bat. Not important until you lose one or it dies. Then you will be waiting on the charger every so often until your order comes in.

Definitely, or another option for about the same price or a few bucks more than getting a couple of 510 batts would be the Riva Lite Kit from liberty flights using the 20% off link. He'll get another full kit with 2 fat batts and 2 more atomizers that are interchangeable with his 510 batts, much better value imo than buying 510 batteries.
