So, reading all about the PTB mods I decided to grab a box of tea yesterday. We have no problem with loose leaf, both raised in the south (me NC, her Houston) so we always have iced tea in the fridge and I have a strainer!

OK, so I follow one type. Flooded atty, doesn't seem to fill the cart. I tried another...same deal. Just as I was about to accordion it up and stuff it in, I got an idea :thumb:.

I took a small piece of fiber fill (we have a 55 gallon fishtank instead of a TV, the kittehs love it!). I stuck it in the middle and rolled it up like a cig (rollie). I took and cut in a bit, the 'shred mod' but not too much. I folded it in half and stuffed it CUT side down in the cart. I filled. It took 10-12 drops and is vaping like a champ! I am going to do that with another cart here in a sec to see if it is consistent but I am pretty sure I came up with the PERFECT cart mod for us!!!

I tried the teabag mod..but I didn't like washing, drying and rerolling..too much like laundry! But love the fluval! Snip and fit! cool. yes I do wash between flavors but it's squish under water and squeeze dry. Kind of wash and wear :). I am not into cutting up itty bitty strips of teabag...too much trouble for me.:p
But if it works for you..maybe I will give it another shot!
Have you tried the straw mod..now that works!

Well, that sounds like a lot of work :D We have been rolling our own for a bit (with a hand injector) and this still seems like a lot less work! I got to play mad scientist today with differing 48mg and a big bottle of PG the pharmacist got me and flavours...omg, the RY4, a bit of caramel...yum :D

Holy crapomoly...fluval. That is the cases for charcoal. For a tank. I just looked it up. I have a bunch that I will not use since I will not use charcoal in a tank unless it gets 'sick'. Sheeeze. How much do you use? I have empties I can experiment on and I am in total mad scientist mode!

I use the white fluval..no charcoal. I just snip off the short end of the rectangle about the same width as the original cart filler (same stuff I think) and cut it the size to fit my cart. Use a cart filler as a guide once or twice..you will get about 3 carts per cut. The trick is to twist them a bit to make them go in. Unless you are using a straw cart mod, then you insert them with the straw using tweezers. There is a demo video..hmmm BRB!

I looked all through cart mods..since things are being moved around I need more time to look, too sleepy right now.

I've been using the 'Rho Mod' version of PTB...and have to say it works very well for me. Rhoneil, the orginator of this particular mod, is funny...he's constantly trying different things with it. I did notice that the Cignot ladies are now selling some PTB filled blank carts...don't know how they're folding, rolling, whatever.

Not sure why you unrolled (teabags) them to wash...lol... I just run under water (still folded) dry (sqeeze in a paper towel/klenex) and they are ready to go again.

I know that we all are different though... thats the fun of all this.

Thanks by the by... for the invite :) I joined today.

Thanks Scylla! I couldn't find it last night with all the moving things about going on!:p
Cowphin, Welcome! Glad you made it down finally! It sure would have helped if I had known you were a lady..I just found out today in Jeff's Chuck thread! Sorry.

I am a nut! I didn't think of just washing them like I do my fuval! Sheesh..unrolling, washing drying...It was like rolling up damp clothes to iron later. (at my ex MIL's years ago) I am surprised I didn't iron them before rerolling! Sometimes my lack of sense surprises even me!8-o

And now I am going to do the same thing that I did with the teabag and fill (It seems to be the best upside down, the cut ends on the atty *after a night of testing and wine*) but with the fluval. I stuffed a cart with it and it works nice, but now I am going to cut a matchstick of it and wrap it in the teabag... >:)

You guys need to try the strawmod..It works!
You cut a straw..one of the coffee stirer or juice box tiny kind (grandson isn't happy with me..I messed with his juice!) the same size as the cart with the end just below the rim. Cut one end on an angle (that's the bottom) and inset it with your filler. It helps the air flow move the juice up toward the top of the cart away from the mouth end to make contact with the atty coil. Less waste, less refilling.
I have to add , for those of you who save the last drop of juice from the filling to use later..aren't you worried about it turning on you? Mold and all? I can see using it right away but not to save it.

Is it just me? But does that https://www.freejupiterjack.com/2/?MID=586220 cell phone car speaker seem just as bad as talking on the phone? I mean just because it's not in your hand doesn't mean your eyes don't stray to the device! When you talk on a phone you seem to let your eyes go up to the right. You do the same even if it's a speaker phone. So how is this any safer.
Before anyone says smoking, vaping or eating is just as dangerous..it's not. you use a different part of your brain to talk on the phone. Try to pay attention to a TV show while on the phone. Is it the same as vaping?
Maria Shriver just got blasted by her hubby Arnold for using a cell phone while driving. All he was upset about was her not using a hands free device. (It was his law after all that banned using hand held cells in Ca.)
