Solar Rain is no longer available. See Jay's comment at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...re-questions-before-ordering.html#post2244316

Here's the key point (bold emphasis mine):

Hey sorry for the late reply. Iv been a little sick.

Nope you can have it what ever color you want , just leave it in the notes as you check out. The 6v is the same as the 3.6v ..no resistor like the 5V. solar rain is not an option any more sorry, but you can have the head and end cap coated.
give ma a call tomorrow if you want . 248-346-3205.

It's a matter of preference and color choice. As I understand it, the metallic options are automatically clear-coated. My Nebula Green 5v looks super sweet but my matte-black Mini (without clear-coat) has an air of simplistic elegance, like a fine cigar.

Personally, I'm leaning toward polished aluminum without clear-coat. But that's just me. :)

I'm interested to see how a super-mini looks powder coated. Is it fully powder coated or partially? I've already opted for the polished aluminum because of the fear of the coat cracking off since it's such a small piece, and this thing looks easy to fumble. This is a great design though and I cannot wait to be the first few to have one!

Btw.. is there anyway this can have a brushed finish as opposed to the polished?

Looking at the dimensions on the Tenergy site (17mm Dia. x 34.5mm H) they may be little too thick. Never used them so I can't say for sure; maybe someone who has some can give you an absolute answer.

Pre-orders depend on the seller. GLV will charge you as soon as you place the order. I see this as a benefit, a sort of guarantee that your PV will be manufactured to your specification. I've pre-ordered other merchandise elsewhere with a "postponed" charge and have been disappointed when for whatever reason, they chose not to build and ship.

No such disappointment with a GLV product; you'll get it and you'll love it!
