Hey all, I'm very, very new to e-cigarettes and want to switch as soon as I can. After researching for the past few weeks I feel a bit overwelmed with all the info..
I'm 27 years old, have been smoking an average of about a pack a day for about 10-11 years.. I smoked Marlboro reds for the majority of the first 5 plus years and now have smoked American Spirit for the remainder..
I'm looking for a good, quality e-cigarette thats fairly simple and user-friendly..

Also- any advice on juices would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you all in advance...

if you are looking for something similar in size and ritual to the traditional cigarrette you're going to want a blu or revolver

entitled a super mini - these look like regular cigarettes

no matter which way you go you will soon learn not to buy stock cartridges of liquid, but to buy your own liquid and refill the cartridges, saving MUCH MORE MONEY and increasing product performance

i always recommend the blu pack to an ex-smoker like myself - it's what i use

Electronic Cigarette by Blu E-Cigarette

you also may want to check out the revolver - its case is a bit more user friendly

www.revolvercig.com

but it's fairly new

both the blu and revolver are backordered - revolver is out of stock

blu is reshipping out blupack kits because of a recall and their shipping is backed up - but either will be worth the wait

there are various other models and ways to use these, but those 2 come with a cig-like pack and can recharge batteries on the go - i'm sure you'd enjoy.

My personal favorite is the 510.. it's never let me down. I always buy from e-smokeytreats but a 510 is a 510. 'd recommend staying away from suppliers that are not affiliated with the forum. They don't seem to have the same level of service you get around here.

AS for juice.. sample kits. Try as many as you can, you never know which flavor you'll like best until you've tried them.

Update your profile to include your location. There may be someone local willing to let you sample juice and maybe even different models.

Also advise getting a 510 but read this to understand why.

Best deal for the 510 $35:

Joye 510 NO BOX
2-3 day free shipping.

On juice, you'll save money by finding samplers. I like this site but there are a few others:

6 ML Nhale/Xhale Liquid Samplers - 24MG - NHaler
HIGH VOLTAGE SAMPLERS 12Mg 6ml Plastic Dropper Bottles

I latched onto this sentence: "I'm looking for a good, quality e-cigarette thats fairly simple and user-friendly.."

Really simple and user-friendly:
Model KR808D-1, 2-piece unit. Sometimes goes under "brand" name of Vaport King. This is a "cartomizer" unit - meaning you have a cartridge w/atomizer combined which screws into a battery. That's it - 2 pieces. The catridges/cartomizers can be re-used/refilled with liquid. Little "fiddling" involved. More of a non-gadget type unit meaning you don't have to "fiddle" but can if you really really want to. This is a little longer than traditional cigarrette.

Just thought I would share.

If your are 27 years old, my best advice is to forget about ecigs and just quit smoking. That's because I believe ecigs are for us older folk who have tried MANY times to quit and have not been successful You have too much of your life ahead of you to be in our class.

HTH,
Dave

I don't think nicotine addiction has anything do do with age, and 10+ yrs is enough to have as strong an addiction as someone who has been doing it 25 years. "Just quit smoking". LOL. Like any of us would be here if it were that simple.

To the OP, I would read a lot before you purchase a Blu. That was my intro to e-cigs as well, and while they're pretty, marketed well, and have the best charging/carrying case around (IMO), they're limited in other ways. The carts are more difficult to refill vs. other models (presumably on purpose, to convince you to purchase Blu's carts), and you limit yourself to one supplier - Blu - if you need "stock" parts... and Blu has had problems with supply (not to mention recalls).

There are compatible spare parts that plug into the Blu, but you should probably read/search around and see what the pros and cons of other models are. The 510 seems to be all the rage. It's what I got after Blu... I've only tried those 2 but find the 510 to have more vapor (more nicotine delivery) and everyone has spare parts for it.

Good luck!
