Hey Doc, I epoxy the veneer to the tube so it's on there pretty good. I've been doing this to every tube mod I've ever bought (I did my Chuck over a year ago) and haven't had one split or anything. A good drop on a hard surface could mar the finish but they're pretty solid. I can do any species of veneer I can buy. I don't currently have any cocobolo in stock but it's not hard to find.
