Ok, I'm a dolt. I have been reading and researching on this site (this section specifically) and still am not 100% confident in the things I was researching.

Here goes.

I am wanting to do some DIY Zero-Nic liquids. I like the VG because it is nice and smooth. Too heavy PG seems to give too hard of a throat hit for me, especially for the sweet, tasty flavors.

If I was to buy say just a bottle of VG (humco at wally world possibly) and a couple flavors of Loranns (Staying basic, like vanilla, butterscotch and such...) could I mix the flavoring with the straight VG or would I have to cut it with distilled water? and how much water to VG?

I know it seems like a stupid question but it seems that I am well behind the curve here and all of the DIY articles I have read are pretty far advanced (dealing with cutting nic juice and such).

Thanks!

(Geez I feel like a ..... having to ask this... haha)

Hey, you're no dolt. You just want to be safe and not break your atty, is all. I haven't done too much DIY, but I'll share with you, what I did to make a pretty decent batch of 0mg nic juice. BTW, it helps to use a marked dropper(Like what comes with Halo e-liquids), but not required.

*Grab a 3ml bottle(Smaller the batch, the less you'll waste).
*Fill the bottle about 3/4 with VG(We're at 75% thus far).
*Drop about .75ml of DISTILLED water into the 3ml test bottle(ONLY use distilled water).
*Finally, place about 4-5 drops of flavoring and shake it up.

Many find that the juice taste better after letting it steep for about a week, but it should be good to go from the beginning. I hope this helps and good luck! :toast:

There are no dumb questions, only dumb people.:D

I have no experience with pure VG mixes, as I use a 30/70 VG/PG mix. However, if you're going to get into mixing your own juices, I would recommend you check out Capella's and Flavourart flavorings. Personally, I can't stand Lorann flavorings due to the chemical taste I get from them.

I just made my first diy last week, I'm sensitive to PG so I made mine with vg based nic and humco vg from walmart. I know that vg can mask the flavor so I flavored at 25%

The flavorings are usually pg based, so essentially I made a 25/75 pg/vg juice which seems plenty thinned out to me, I haven't clogged an atty yet and I'm loving the cinnamon pear I made. IMO no other thinner is needed.

I would avoid Humco VG from Walmart if I were you. Some people have no issues with it, but I find it tastes disgusting. Better to get 'baking' glycerin from a baking shop or craft shop like Michael's in the cake decorating dept. If you taste the Humco and a baking type right out the bottle, the Humco has an icky tongue coating taste while the baking type just tastes sweet. I've used with no water at all, after all the flavorings themselves dilute the thickness a bit. I would start out with no water and then if it seems too thick you can always add water. And yea, distilled is best because it doesn't have minerals that can clog your atty.
