Sorry to be another noob with questions you have all probably heard a million times, but I just have simple questions.

I bought my first e-cig today (it's called "Smoke NV" Smoke NV Inc.) It works great so far, lots of vape, easy to puff on (although does make a slight whistle) It uses Cartomizers. The company has three main types for tabacco flavours: Canadian, American and Menthol. The starter kit comes with Canadian.

My one and only problem with the e-cig so far is that the vape tastes NOTHING like tabacco. It tastes like vanilla and sugar, which is making it slightly difficult to adjust to and replace with cigarettes. I need to taste some tobacco here.

So this brings two questions: Is this flavour normal? And secondly, are there other brands of cartomizers I can use on my e-cig that taste more like tobacco?

My e-cig is nicotine free, which is fine by me. I am just in this for the habit and throat hit. That's the hardest part for me to quit.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

The starter kit was $60, not $100.

Also, it says right on the front of the box "Nicotine and Tobacco free" I live in Canada, BTW.

I am super new to all of this. I would rather keep the e-cig I have for now and see how it goes, but I don't know if I can get used to the flavor. It tastes like pure vanilla and sugar.

My advice is cut your losses NOW & upgrade to better model, they are way overpriced! Even with your $100 investment, the cartridges are very expensive!

The cartridges don't even say if they have nicotine in them or what strength if so..

OP is in Canada which makes things a bit difficult.
OCDP: Get your posts up to 5 and then visit the Canadian subforum. They'll have a better idea what's available to you up there. You probably did pay too much, even for Canada. Hopefully you can find some carts or cartos that will work with what you've already bought.

I told somebody the other day

Male battery right? And female cartomozers?

If it is 9.2mm diameter then it is either the popular KR808D-1 (like Vapor4Life.com) or its incompatible near twin E9 aka KR808D-2 (like Greensmoke)

If it is less than 9mm diameter then it may be Chinese wholesaler model E8 and I do not know where you can get stuff for that

In my experience, no "tobacco" flavor really tastes like tobacco. Most "tobacco" flavors taste like vanilla, cherry, sugar, maple syrup, smoked ham, nuts, or whatever. So yeah, that's sort of normal, especially if it doesn't have nicotine in it. The closest to tobacco that I've tried is from the Top Vapor line from Madvapes, my brother ordered it for someone else and we tried a little. I'm not even sure of the exact name - but I think it was their plain "Tobacco" flavor. Not sure if you can get that shipped to Canada, maybe if you're stealthy - maybe I could meet you at the border, for a small fee. :)

Many have chased the tobacco flavor and tried to replicate that cig taste. In the end nothing really tastes like a burning cig but a cig. Some juices out there come close but nothing really nails it. For me I was hooked on Halo juice for a few months but after a while I found I did not like tobacco flavored juices. You may want to try some coffee flavored liquids. I know they did it for me and filled that tobacco flavor void nicely. Best of luck and I know you guys have it much more difficult up there in Canada when it comes to getting juice. The Canada forum may be able to help point you in the right direction for Suppliers of good juice. Happy Vapes and welcome to ECF.

ok i have only been doing this for 2 months but I agree that no tobacco flavors really taste exactly like a cigarette. Some can come really close and some taste so much better! I would suggest doing some research on this forum and getting a better e-cig but also just trying out different juice. I have found several I really love and none are really tobacco flavors. I have some new ones to try from Backwood brew that get great reviews on this forum but they are steeping. Keep at it! keep trying. You don't like every cigarette and you wont like every juice (and there are a lot of juices). I would look to find brands that rate great on here for tobacco and try some samples until you find what you love. Maybe ask in some tobacco juice forums telling them what you smoke. Eventually you might go for non tobacco flavors but you might not. I'm still trying. Good luck!
