Vaporologist,
I think we agree on most points, I was just supporting everyones right to post a negative review. I actually did pay money for a product and got, what I consider, a defective button...I chose to fix it myself or at least I am trying to fix it myself, so I have some understanding of not wanting to have to send your PV off into the mail again if it is still at all functional...and I see nothing in his review that states his device doesn't work or that he doesn't use it even with the faults.
But yes if it was something beyond my capabilities, and certainly if it was making the device 100% unusable, yea I would send it back. However I believe the Super-T manufacturer, who I hope doesn't take offense in any way to me supporting the OP's right to post a negative review, said fixing the button problem involves shaving off a few MM's from the tube?
So yea I think we are mostly in agreement.
...slight mid post change of tract here
I just noticed all the posts on the Super-T subforum and that this unit is, supposedly, sold.
now it appears this reviews validity is in question as a whole. The only thing I know for sure is that there was a P18 button issue at some time in the past, this is confirmed by Super-t, so some people were affected by it and Super-T offers to fix anyone who was affected for free. Still nothing in this review makes me think any less of the Super-T product line...yea the button doesn't lock...well it never did...Silver Bullets are not solar powered and the Saber Touch doesn't float.. this is all well known so pointing that out really isn't an issue. There was a past button issue but apparently has been resolved and was limited to only the P18 line and then only a few of them. Its worth knowing about the event, but it would not dissuade me from considering one for future purchase.
I don't really see anyone posting a bogus review just for the heck of it ....so I am going to assume its a valid review. That being said I think I will just...back away slowly from this thread...
