I have a hana clone mod that has a super tight battery compartment. It works perfectly otherwise, and doesn't seem to be damaging the batteries, but it is HE!! getting the danged things out. I have to shove the 18650s in, but getting them out I've had to pry them out. My question is, can I put a thin piece of ribbon or yarn around the body of the battery, like you see in some battery compartments of other types of things to help pull out the batteries? Or will that create a problem with the negative grounding?

That would be a good solution. I use a scotch tape tab in one of my box mods.

Thanks, I'll do that then.

Maybe you have a button top battery

I do have a button top. I just ordered a couple of flats hoping that would help, but it will be a little bit before they get here, and I wasn't sure if that would actually solve it either.
