There is a 50.00 a year registration fee to be a registered supplier. Is what Caridwen was referring too.

If one is a Forum supplier like they have their own Sub forum it's like 40-50.00 a month to have that. (this is Misty area but I know it's in there) that be at most a 600 a year but then we are talking the provari and reo kinda companies for that and it's Optional. Required is only the 50.00

Wholesalers pay the 50.00 but that's it...why he would tell you what he tells you IDK.... Misunderstanding exaggeration etc idk

ECF isnt making some mad money here....or at least I sure never see it :p

OK, so it's $650 a year then. Not sure where the other $150 came from.

Well that isn't so bad for the ECF then. There are a lot of suppliers and and lots of forum members all paying their $24. 165'000 members!! Well not all of them are supporting members obviously, but I do believe that the ECF is doing quite nicely :p.

IDk I look at it from a different side I own a small biz though not ecig related at all... ..for with all listing and selling fees....I pay both Etsy and Ebay more each year and i'm not sure I get the same traffic...course then paypal gets their cut after that
Plus your own page...with as many threads(cough unlimited) would be way more on a company page.

It's not such a bad deal for a small biz...and not such a great deal for ecf.

besides Your welcome to come volunteer...I swear we all work for free up here..

I definitely don't think that is expensive considering the HUGE amount of business they get. But it's not the one sided thing that the ECF is 'helping' suppliers for free as someone else implied.

If I was a vendor, I would think it quite fair and reasonable.

I don't like the shared information aspect. A vendor had a photo contest, which was linked to fb, but the entry form on their website was also linked to fb. When I went to upload a photo I got an alert stating that by clicking submit I would give them access to my friends lists, my likes list, my friends likes lists, etc. I didn't even read the whole message before I canceled my entry. I rarely go on fb and I only have one "real" friend (as opposed to all the "friends" I have who I don't know) who vapes. It would have been fun to enter the contest, contests are often I how I get to try new juices, but not at the risk of subjecting my friends to even more unsolicited and irrelevant advertising.

Years ago, when I was on f-book regularly, these were the targeted ads that appeared on my page one day. I think f-book should be more respectful when dealing with me since according to their own research I'm old, fat and have a gun.

Dont take em to personal Ocelot.....google thinks I'm a 60 year old male. Course the fact that a 30 year old female might like car repair, politics and anthropology never crossed their minds ;)

I didn't mean to imply they were wrong, I meant that they should be nicer to me based on my profile. ;)

That's weird. I dont get any ads anymore, for quite some time now. I didn't really notice, because in any event they were all in Japanese to start with. I think I may have blocked everything in advanced settings. I go at least once a month or once every two months, and update security and privacy settings.

I won't do Facebook. I am not about to reveal my whole life history to the world in general. They just mine your data to sell it and once you connect with family and friends they mine and sell their data too.

Read an article recently regarding the DMV in the state of Florida. They were selling all the DMV information (excluding Social Security # and DMV #) to the highest bidder, repeatedly. When an official was questioned, their response was that there was nothing in the Florida law to prohibit the State of Florida's Department of Motor Vehicles from selling the information. That gave me pause. And made me angry.

So Facebook. No. I was not even sure I wanted to join ECF. Very happy now that I did. But I had to think about it.

Don't worry, I don't think you own a gun.

Why is that? What is so terrible about Facebook?
I hate Facebook, that's pretty much the bottom line.

This whole thing kind of reminds me of when cell phones became popular. There were plenty of people who swore never to get one, same with emails before that. Well, what do you know? All those people have email now and all carry smart phones lol.
I'm not much of a fan of cell phones either.

I have one because my work makes me have one.
And the only person (besides work people) that has my cell phone number is my wife.

I neither want nor need people to be able to contact me directly anytime they please.
And yes, I am an old fuddy-duddy.
:)

OK. Thanks for sharing that with me DCT :). I feel honored.

By the way, I love my iPhone, (and all my gadgets) I can chat for free with my family and friends scattered around the world, with crystal clear sound and video anytime we please. With a tap, I can flip the camera to show them what I am seeing. Beats the old stuffy smoke filled 'public phone box down the road' scenario hands down. Because that was how I had to make international calls in the old days when I was abroad. There are a million awesome things I can do with my iPhone.

I embrace new technology with open arms. I've always been an early adopter.
