I recently read that Facebook is a factor in over 80% of the divorce trials these days. The jury is still out on ECF....when she starts speaking to me again, I'll let you know!
Oh yes, do let us in on the news

Arguing about facebook being great or horrible is like arguing wether provari is the best or over priced.
Well darn dragonbone, that DOES look good. Beer, escargot, ego vape, and what looks like a lot of garlic.....wish I was at the table.
I am eating jello. Due to a medical procedure coming up.
So, I guess anyone can understand why looking at this photo could be exciting to me right now![]()
So don't take part in the contest!
Jeez. If the contest is free, I don't see what the fuss is.
Either choose to participate or don't. Do you call up publishers clearinghouse and complain that you don't want to mail them stuff back to participate?
This seems like looking a gift horse in the mouth to me. A vendor running a contest is not doing it simply to give stuff away. They are doing it for the hopeful new business it will generate. And social media is a common way for them to get word out.
Consumers get a chance at free stuff, the vendor gets free publicity.
And FYI, I rarely FB. Closed my twitter account years ago, and never had an instagram account. So I am not speaking from a personal level. I just think complaining about a FREE contest seems especially picky.
Facebook only contests is a way to build a large FB customer database. Once they get enough customers on FB they won't need ECF anymore and will or may close their supplier account. So why should ECF help them?

Suppliers pay quite a substantial sum to the ECF (AFAIK). So everyone is helping everyone else. Everyone needs everyone else. Nothing is one-sided.
Has any vendor closed their account after getting all the business they need? I haven't heard about anyone doing it. Why would they?
A little over $4 a month is substantial?
Oh? I stand corrected. A friend told me it was $800+.
