Im gonna give this a try and wondering a full list of everything needed to start diy. Iv seen supplies bought at walmart, cvs, and tractor suppy which i have all 3 within a couple miles from me. So tell me what i could get from the list from these stores and the rest will be online. I see alot of talk about wizard labs but they are out of everything. Another thing im not understanding is the nic levels they sell 12mg to 100mg. So if i vape 18 does that mean i would buy 18mg nic and higher with the higher nic level needing more diluting?

Did you read the stickies?

Yes, you absolutely would be diluting higher levels of nic like 100mg, 60mg, 48mg down to your preferred level.

If you want the easiest way to start DIY, it is buying the mg level and PG/VG ratio you like best and then adding some flavoring to it. This gives you a chance to perfect your technique before messing with stronger nic. Stronger nic can be dangerous. You need to wear gloves and not get it on you.

I've been putting together a list all day, here is what I have.

wizardlabs.us

$9.99 120ml 48mg/ml propylene glycol
$3.19 120ml propylene glycol
$3.19 120ml vegetable glycerin
$.75 stir rod
$7.50 50ml beaker x3
$.75 1ml syringe
$1.08 2 x 3ml syringe
$1.08 2 x 5ml syringe
$.69 10ml syringe
$1.95 14ga tip x 3
$.65 18 gauge tip
$4.90 10 x 10ml bottles
$2.55 5 x 30ml bottle

Total: $38.27

I am going to go with Ella's juice from highdesertvapes.com because the TFA/LA juice from wizard's seems to be hit or miss when it comes to the flavors (from what I read).

Use this calculator. Your mix will be 10-20% flavor, so if you started with 18mg it would be diluted to closer to 14. If you want a 50/50 mix of vg to pg then you are around 7. Make sure you get it figured out before you order your nicotine juice, otherwise you might not be able to mix it how you want. For example if you want a 50/50 mix at 18mg/ml the 36mg/ml nicotine base won't work.

I talked to wizard labs on the phone and they said they should update the website in the next day or two.

And to everyone else... am I missing anything? Are there any TFA/LA flavors that you have tried that are good?

All my juice i get is 80 20 havent tried anything else. So out of the 3 bottles i assume im gonna use up more pg than anything? Do you use just as much out of the nic or is that something that only gets very little added to a batch, so the 120ml bottle will last a long time? I just want to make an order and not have to reorder anything for a few months. Another thing the flavors how much is used when making juice? Do i need big bottles of that or will a little bottle last a long time as well? Or if someone could tell me an idea of amounts used to say make a 30ml bottle of candy apple? What i mean is like 15ml of pg, 5ml vg, 1ml nic, 10 drops of carmel, and 5 drops apple to make a 30ml bottle. Something like that helps me understand roughly how much of each is used so when i order stuff i know i need alot of pg but very little of the flavors etc...

Use that calculator to find out how much nic concentrate you will be using to make your juice. Then do the math to find out how long that will last you.

Of course, Wizard Labs, for nic and PG when you can (When they have stock...yes, they are that good :) )

Also, I highly recommend Sunburst Bottle, especially for volume bottle orders)
Glass & Plastic Bottles | Glass Jars | Sunburst Bottle

Syringes can be had for cheeeeep, try Ebay and other sources. Just try to get "Luer Lock" syringes and blunt tip needles. You will want 14 gauge needles for VG and 18 gauges for PG/Nic/Flavors.

Here is a link for "pointed needles" which I haven't tried yet, but the prices are incredible:

Animal Health Express, for quality Animal Health Supplies, Horse Supplies, Horse Tack, Livestock Supplies and Pet Supplies

It's a start, good luck :)

Ask questions when they come up, it's a really fun part of vaping :)

PS:

Don't use the tractor supply PG. Despite some who claim it's safe, I will, once again, defer to veteran knowledge:

Pay a few extra dollars and avoid the "what if" factor of your health. Opinions will come and go but your bodily health is with you always.
