Howdy PIF folks - had an exceptionally bad day, had an analog - and figured I would post here about it to hopefully help and offer support to this still new on the journey of quitting!

First off, it's the first one I have had in 1 month 13 days - so bummed that I did... :/

But if you are thinking about it - dont! It tasted like crap, gave me nothing, and left me with a wretched smell on my hands and going for the toothbrush - yuck!!! Tasted like something took care of it's business in my mouth - ack!

It seems hard to believe I used to smoke 30 of those a day!

So if you are feeling tempted - don't be! It's gross compared to vaping, less satisfying actually, and just... Yuck!
I hope to be able to offer help/encouragement to anyone in the point of a craving - so post here before you go down that road and maybe we can all help each other out during these times!
Stay strong - we can do it together! :D

constant state of confusion
Been there done that recently..
Been having issues with my second round of chemo/radiation with every juice making me sick but analogs not making me sick. Found banana flavors didn't make me sick but still struggled. All my mods messing up at the same time did not improve the situaton . Had surgery a few weeks ago and now the sickness isn't quite so bad and I am finding more juice to vape. Hated myself for smoking.....and my 7 year old granddaughter smelled the cigarettes and asked me to please not do that again.
So I am bound and determined that I won't fall off the wagon again....Came home from work today to find a brand new shiny silver bullet my boyfriend bought me waiting in the mailbox. so now I really have no reason to look back.....I am just a happy girl right now.

When I slipped, I was sort of bummed with myself, but now I am glad I did. It tasted so horrible that I have that memory imprinted in my mind. Now when I feel like I need a cigarette, I recall that memory and just up my nic instead.

Still amazes me that smoking became so gross tasting and smelling after such a short amount of time. Every other time I've tried to quit, my first cigarette back gave me that 'ahhh' feeling. Not the case anymore! :) This is how I know without a shadow of a doubt that this time I really quit.

ahhhh see I am occasionally thinking about a cig- just because I know the first one after I had quit for a while was OOOOOHHHHHHHHH SOOOO GOOD!

I know I just need to up my nic- or vape a little more or something- but at times I am vaping NON STOP!!

Maybe I need to break down and have one- just to convince myself its NOT as good as I remember-

I think part of mine is my disapointment in juices. They just aint as good as they were when i started vaping. LOL But we are working on that!! :)

I know exactly what you are talking about... And that is what I had expected - But instead got a mouthful of pure nastiness when I had that disgusting analog tonight. Nothing like a smoke the other times that I had tried at quit smoking! As much as I really am surprised to say it - I don't think that I will crave an analog again - it will be a craving of a super th or more nic - but that seriously tasted like crap - and had been smoking for roughly 23 years! What a difference. :)

When I get a craving I go for the highest nic that I have, 24mg menthol, and vape like hell untill I get over it. this workes pretty good for me. I had a friend visit me last week and we were getting ready to try some different flavors, he was going to smoke an analog first. I loaded his ATO miser with a high nic DIY I made and handed it to him. We tried about 10 flavors in about 30 min. and he said that he wouldn't need an analog for quite a while.

High nic for craving times can be really good. I used 30mg diy tobacco, anywhere from 12 -24 the rest of the time.

Now I pretty consistently vape 24 mg diy, no higher but also rarely lower (i bulk mix what I like). Zero cravings in months. I could probably drop my mg, but have no particular need or desire to.

Good luck - it can be rough early on, but also can become easy once things fall into place.

Hang in there. We've all been through it and many of us have fallen off the wagon just to discover what you did. That's ok! As others said- don't beat yourself up. Just like being on a diet- the worst thing you can do is deprive yourself of something you just can't stop craving .. It'll just make it worse and you crazy! Take your time with this and you'll reap the benefits!

I say lower the nic and up the VOLTAGE when you crave...holy good! :) 5v saved me and I will forever go to it when I crave. LONG LIVE HIGH VOLTAGE VAPING WOOOOOO!
