Howdy
I had an idea while working on dusty and cool's VC1.1, so I took a break off of those, and came up with this.
:)
I call it the CP1
It uses two 14500 batteries in parallel. What that does for anyone that may not know, is makes it a 3.7V unit, but with twice the mah available - so essentially it is an 1800mah 3.7V setup.
I did this one in a clear case, and placed the LED so that it lights up the whole box. Looks really cool in the dark, and looks pretty good under standard lighting too!
This unit will have enough grunt to power most any low resistance/high current setup as well - so dual coils or whatever - will pretty hard. Part of running the batteries in parallel is that it gives the atty 3.7V like a single cell, but delivers the amperage of both - so good power and standard voltage.

Some (a bunch of?) pics:

If you would like one of these, let me know!

These are also more efficient than VV setups, as the only power being dissipated is by the atty. Theory isn't always perfect, but in theory if a VV setup lasted you almost a full day, then this setup would last you almost 2 days.

Thanks!
:D

Wow, simplicity. Very nice clean mod. Good work B9!

Oh, and my batteries and charger came in. Mod works great! Battery charger, not so much. So until Wednesday I am sitting here looking at my beautiful paper weight, with its blank LED. Mad Vapes is sending a replacement, no questions asked. *sigh*

Sure thing on the switch - and what is currently in there is a slow color change - to the color is constantly changing. Maybe I should do a quick vid or something.
:)

Really nice. Could you put in switch for the led? It would come in useful in darkened rooms like theaters, etc.

Would we have to get 1 in each color? Color of the month Club.
