hmm, don't understand, seems to me we didn't list anymore info than what was already listed on our profile anyway,
and if i accept an offer from you on PIF do you not put a return address on the package ???
just sayin ???? we all put ourselves out there in order to help one another....

""I guess it’s hard for people who are so used to things the way they are — even if they’re bad — to change. ‘Cause they kind of give up. And when they do, everybody kind of loses. ""(quote from pay it forward)

Why, I certainly do put that information on there! However, I don't just toss it all over the forums for everyone to see. It's not like you have to be a member here to read - just to post. (Or, at least, it didn't used to be that way.)

That's all I'm saying...
I really don't mean to turn this into a big argument, I just think the mods are overprotecting the adults who post on this forum... Just my 2 cents, for what it's worth.... That's just how I feel, I can hardly ever get to the post office, and I often have a hard time paying for postage, but I can usually drop something off in an area I'm doing work in that week, or visiting a friend in that area... That's about all I can offer right now, emergency supplies (namely DIY eliquid), to people who would be in my area. Makes me feel left out, that my only contribution to the group is now locked away for mod eyes only, that's all...

Well, I don't know that this has been taken away from you, BobtheKlown. If anything, you now have the ability to note someone's location when they post an emergency need and determine if you are in the area. Then you also have the control of contacting them or not to meet that need.

While I appreciate that you don't get random PMs all that often, some folks here do get them out of the blue especially when they offer something up. It shouldn't happen but it does happen and then that person can sometimes feel compelled to help even if their radar is telling them not to do so.

Homeish now
Sigh, ok that explains a lot. I was wondering why you were so upset over this.

Even if we still had this, I wouldnt expect it to be that active. True emergency OMG cant wait two days for the mail needs are pretty far between. We have had a few, but not tons. Plus no offense your in a small town in TX's, us vapers are still a minority here, with only a fraction of those are on ecf and even less are PIFers(700 people covering the whole US). This wouldnt be the solution your looking for.
If you really want to fine a way to help, I'm sure we can think of something.

No one listed their address, just the area they would travel to if needed....

Didn't I always have the ability to note someone's location in 'needs' or 'wants' or any other post they make? What this did take away is the ability for them to pm me, that way, even if I'm not browsing THAT thread, if I'm on ECF it would notify me: NEW PM!

And while I aprpreciate some people do get excessive PMs, I think those people would choose not to list their name on a thread where that was the obviously the intent... Again, nobody said put your name on this list or get out, it was their choice....

That said, I'm done with the discussion, the mods have made their decision, and I didn't intent to start an argument about it...

i'm truly sorry, don't mean to cause a fuss. this is a great group and it really makes my day just watching how you guys take care of one another. it's not the giving and getting as much as the caring.
so whatever you guys think is best must be so..... sorry
