Excellent idea Alien Traveler, AND, he should send me all of his vaping equipment and supplies, so I can properly ensconce those item's in a place where their Hulk producing dangerous Gamma rays don't hurt anyone.

My first thought was that they broke open a glow stick for the photo.

My first thought was clever angles using a low light setting/slow f-stop setting

My first thought was that the person noticed how well the monitors power light was reflecting through his tank and then used the camera as you said to get it to look like it's glowing.

My first thought was: Fun with laser pointers.

Very true, but then I would need to find room for the LED outside the tank somehow. I am thinking if I can get the LED inside, wire it up so that it gets the same power as the coil, and at the same time obviously, and just seal it up, it would be good. Maybe on the build deck somewhere. I need to figure out what tanks would allow room for that.

Just brainstorming and killing time now. This may never be feasible without something fabricated for it. But it is worth tossing around in our heads! :D

If you notice, his light is on the mod. It just shines into the tank from below. I want a lighted tank.

Just showing a different approach that may spark ideas. The lighted tank has been done, in fact there are some that are sold. Here is an example of some

The only reason I even commented is because:
1) standard parts like LED leads are commonly "tinned" at the factory.
2) The diode enclosure plastics may not play well with e-juice.
3) More soldering inside the tank.
thus
4) the results are not worth the effect, IMHO.

It's OK if the LED's emitted light shines into the tank from outside. I'm sure someone has tried wrapping an LED in some clear plastic too, to try to avoid metals leaching. Maybe some just don't care. IDK. I would stay away from it unless I knew it was safe.

You can buy them online. IDK if they've researched it well, or just sell em and don't care. But if you're doing it yourself, I'd think research is in order.

Great points. I would add that the plastics used on the LED are not designed for being submerged and could leach some more pollutants you'd be inhaling.

On the other hand, a Tritium Vial does not require sunlight or electricity, is made of a glass vial and is only slightly radioactive... slightly
