Hey all. I am about to pull the trigger on a itaste SVD and I have been reading pages and pages of battery options. I would like to run panasonic batteries in 18650 size. I tend to chain vape at time and can murder the battery in my mvp2 when I am dripping. What would be my best options in the panasonic family of safe chemistry batteries. I would really like to not have to worry about the battery life too much or over stressing it so. Price isnt much of a concern I wanna do it right the first time and safety is absolute tops. I will also be getting a nitecore itelli charger. So hit me with the reccomendations lol. I will probably be purchasing 3 or 4 batteries to have in rotation.

This will serve you well, and if you want to go mech later on they will still work fine.

The best Panasonic batteries for a VV/VW mod are these:
NCR18650PF 18650 Panasonic Rechargeable Li-ion Battery Flat Top
2900 mAh IMR 18650s. Those will work great in a VV/VW mod.
Now, that said, if I were you I would not buy an SVD. I've had two of them break less than 4 months after purchase, and I am not alone. SVDs have a big problem with the button failing to work.
I would recommend a Smoktech Sid or Vamo V5 instead.

Button issues aside I'm still stuck on the SVD. Which 18350 batteries would anyone recommend? Would buttoned or flat tops be preferable?
Either will work, but you'll get better performance and battery life in the SVD with a good 18650.

SVD will take anything 18350-18650, flat tops or button tops.
And I have heard a lot about the firing button issues, but mine personally has not had any trouble, and I've had it since December. I personally love my SVD and although I have been getting into mechs lately, have a bond with it lol. It's what goes with me in the car, to work, etc.
Pass on the svd... I have one, and while I like it, others have had button issues #1... #2 it only goes to 15 watts... It's adequate if all you want is pro tanks, and iclear30s clearomizers... If you want into the rba/rta world, and wanna a bit hit, there are other mods that go higher, 20/22 watts devices have been out awhile, and 30 watt devices are dropping now...
I have the same device and use a Panasonic NCR18650B Super Max 3.7V 3400mAh in it with a 1.5ohm on my Russian 91%. I get many hours of life with 15 watts, like seven. I have tried my Sony VTC5 and get about two hours tops before it is yellow. The Sony VTC5 is a great battery but it is better in mechanical devices IMO.
My button sucks as well. I have to squeeze it really hard for it to fire, I learned to live with it. I had my device since November and am not at all crazy about it.
I've had my SVD since August and don't have any button issues. The problem I have is it turns off every now and then. Nothing i can't live with but can get annoying. I'm using the Panasonic NCR18650PF and get about a day and a half with heavy vaping.
Heh, well pardon my random question... but thanks to those who actually provided input, appreciated.
I have had an SVD for about a year and I've vaped on it every single day--works just fine with no problems whatsoever. Almost the best $37 I've spent. It is a bit long for pocketing so 18350s might come in handy to shorten it up.
