I've been contemplating on spending the money to buy the SVD I currently have the Evic and the obvious c-twist batteries and I have the Green Sound not a fan of that one.I will start by saying I enjoy tons of vapour and good strong throat hit I do have some Iclear 30's however I don't know if I'm just not using them right or what but I put a new coil on them they seem to work for a few days then I loose vapour the taste is not the best so I don't know if I really want to go with the svd at this point I have seen the good reviews and that it's a great unit and I love the look of it but still unsure can someone help me out on this one

I've been contemplating the svd as well. I'm not exactly sure what you are asking here though. I'm not really familiar with the iClear, but it's a bottom coil clearomizer right? I'm pretty sure you can use other juice delivery devices on the svd.

Can the coils on the iClear be disassembled and cleaned?

Eta: apparently I have no understanding of the iClear. It's top and bottom coil?

The iclear I'm talking about is the one's that come with the SVD so I'm not getting good performance out of the tanks so now not sure if I want the SVD yes they come apart for cleaning coils are replaceable as stated not bottom feeding top feed dual coil wicks all the way from top to bottom So let's just revert the ?'s to is the SVD a good buy or not

The SVD will give you better throat hit and vapor production, but like SUpplyDaddy said, it is not going to improve the life-span of your Iclears. If they are working well for the first few days, then it does sound like you are gunking up the coils. Dark and/or high VG content juice, by any chance? Cleaning the coils every couple of days before they get gunked up will significantly improve their life. I just dip them in PGA for a few minutes and then dry them out with a paper towel and a few seconds of dry burn.

The SVD is a good Machine. I don't care for the i clear 16's. You can put anything you want on top of an SVD. You can also order an SVD without the i clears for 37 bucks. INNOKIN iTaste SVD Telescoping Variable Voltage Electronic Cigarette Battery

They are top coils by the way......

Cyberwolf is right by the way...clean them regularly..every couple days

Agree with what has already been said. SVD is an excellent APV in the <$100 crowd. The problem is the top-coil Iclear. Top coils don't wick as well as bottom coils, but many prefer them, for some reason. If you want really great throat hit and vapor, you may need to consider carto tanks (my favorite), or something like the Protank with an air flow controller. Both are this side of the killer RBA/RDA genre, which would most certainly give you all the vapor and throat hit you could handle, but they are more advanced and you do have to build your own coils. Best to you. Also, your juice affects both vapor and TH. More VG, more vapor. More PG, more TH. Try and 50/50 and adjust to suit your vape. Good luck.

I do use bottom coil for the most part I love my pro tanks and kanger's mt3 however got away from mt3 as they kept leaking on me but I don't mine the T2 from Kanger the vivi nova is okay but favorite is the pro and mt3 and I do enjoy my evic just want more than one Mod it's always better than one and I got use to having 2 and one failed so looking into SVD as that was my choice before the evic but was talked into the evic instead only because the evic comes with everything battery charger etc where the svd does not why I listened I don't know as I didn't need the charger nor battery lol

...what is the actual point in dry burning

Think of it like burning the crud off your BBQ grill grates. Soaking them loosens up the crud, and dry burning burns it off while at the same time drying your wick. Sometime when you have a wick and coil assembly you don't mind losing, experiment with how much it takes to dry the wick and cook off some of the crud without destroying the coil and wick.

The Evic and SVD would make a good pair, although I think you'll probably end up gravitating toward the SVD for its higher output. If you do get one, remember that you'll want more than one battery.

I clear 30 are just terrible, no matter what I have tried its always the same metallic after taste. The SVD is great but would not suggest getting the bigger SVD kit to get the I clear 30. The bigger tube in that kit looks better in 18650 mode but is not actually needed. If you have an evic it will vape about the same as an SVD for standard clearos unless you want higher watts which I rarely use unless wanting to show off clouds with my rdas.
