A few months back I lost my eVic at a bar..... obviously alcohol involved lol. I waited a few months just using my standard battery with a ProTank 2 mini.

I finally pulled the trigger on a SVD, and I was hoping for some tips or advice... I'm just not enjoying it very much. I'm getting very inconsistent hits. Using a Pro tank 2.

I love the size of the device and all of the features, definitely an eye catcher, now I'm curious as to which tank to use. Definitely would prefer a tank as I'm a truck driver and won't be able to drip while driving. But for when I'm at home I'm planning on picking up a rebuildable.

Just curious as to what you SVD owners use, what ohm for coils to purchase, and any tips with the protank2 air issue on the SVD.

Thanks! Excited to be coming back to this site!

-----Side note: Why does the SVD not have its own thread?

I found that my SVD doesn't fare well with devices under 1.7 ohm's (shuts off, misfires), so I try to keep the deliveries upwards of 1.7.
Also found that when battery starts reading about 3.6 it takes longer to heat the delivery coils, so I press the fire button about a second before I start to vape. Other than that I really like it. Seems to be one of the more reliable and sturdy VW's out of China, and it looks really nice. My son loves grabbing it out of my hand and pretending he's holding a light saber LOL.

Thanks for the reply. I gave up on the pro tank. It was time to get into RBAs anyway. I have a lot to learn but I picked up this RBA tank and o...m...g... i feel that love again from when I first started vaping! I have a lot to learn and excited about it. I doubt it was the pro tank issues aa s that's all I've ever used, for the past year, and loved them. It mightve just been a mental thing lol it was time to move up in the vaping world!

Weird about your issues with that, the guy built my first coil as he was teaching me and they recommended 1.3 for this device. And it's the best I've ever had.

I like my coils around the 2.2 - 2.4 range on my SVD. Gives me more room to adjust for the particular flavor and mix.

Haven't had any air issues with my PT1s, PT2s, Davide Glassos, Aro pyrex, or Hypertanks, but one Evod clone did have the base holes drilled too low, so need a 510 to Ego adapter for that. (That one actually needs the adapter no matter what I put it on!)

I have had mine since July. I like it. Usually run between 2.0 and 2.7 O. I have many different delivery devices I use on it. So far I don't tend to see any noticeable difference between tanks and drippers..newly built coils on them with fresh cotton wicks. No I don't by 100 dollar drippers.

It has been working fine. Issues... button doesn't always fire and sometimes loses the connection during a draw. The voltage no longer changes, but the wattage does. Lately have been having to pull the post up because some cheap tank pushes the pin down.

Not sure why they would recommend 1.3 since that is the lowest it will fire on. Doesn't give the build much wiggle room.

15 W at 1.3 O is 4.4V

15 W at 2.0 O is 5.4V

Unless I am missing something.

Output is still the same.

Other than those issue I like it a lot.

I am enjoying my svd in 18650 mode. It works well and doubles as a Billy club in bad neighborhoods.

Currently I have a 2.5ohm coil in a Protank 2 vaping at 4.1 volts. It has worked very well for me. The only downside for me is the auto shut off. I take very long repeat mouth to lung hits while exhaling through my nose. It shuts off before I'm done a lot of the time. But, thats probably saving my coils.
