I think I'll give it a shot if I like the Vita Bella and decide to order some. I've been vaping some Smooth Criminal today, and altough it's not bad at all, it's not exactly my cup of tea. I was expecting more tobacco flavor out of it. BTW, I agree with you in that it doesn't taste like cinnamon.

I realized I forgot to send you the Gorilla juice, but will do it next time. If you can, try the Kentucky Banana Blend first. I think it's awesome :)

Remind me again, fellas, what does Smooth Criminal taste like to you?

It tastes like frustration. Psych, it is VERY hard to describe. I think, maybe, a slightly coconut/vanilla-esque light tobacco.

YUM!

Dang, I haven't even tasted Round Two of my Ahlusion juices; Smooth Criminal will definitely be at the top of my list for Round Three (along with some reorders!). I think perhaps I should just open a bank account and put Wlad and Alley on as co-signators! :D

I tried Ahlusion's House Blend recently and it tastes to me almost exactly like Copper Creek's Voo's Broo. I get butterscotch, vanilla, and anise as the dominant flavors. Not really for me because of the anise :(

After vaping some more Smooth Criminal I totally agree with Mann's description of it: a slightly coconut/vanilla-esque light tobacco. I wish it was a bit stronger though.

Right now I'm vaping some Vecchio Blend, and I think it's my favorite from the bunch. It has a strong vanilla flavor I like, with a nice tobacco background. Perhaps it may warrant a future purchase :)

Hey, I am happy as long as you got something out of it! Have you read my posts about what Ahlusion will do for your specific tastes/desires?

In which thread? The Top 5?

Here is what I was talking about...

I have been chatting with Wlad and he said I can post this last message from him:

"This is a fairly common question we receive: "Why does my e-liquid [I purchased directly from Ahlusion] taste different from the sample I received from a friend?"

The reason is simple, but not quite understood as this is unique to Ahlusion, so I'll explain it as best as possible here. Every customer who has provided specific feedback in regards to their e-liquids, has a unique flavor profile. This consists of a bunch of numbers and algorightms that make up the flavor profile used by our mixing software. Say for instance that customer A's flavor profile inducates that she likes sour or bitter flavors, then all recipes for that customer will be modified accordingly. I mention recipes because by using flavor profiles, every customer essentially has his or her own recipes. This is the very simplified way of explaining this, but there's a lot more involved in the backend.

This is one reason to never expect the exact same flavors from an e-liquid received as a sample. To date we have over 700 unique flavor profiles and not one is identical to the other.

This is one reason why we send feedback requests after every order; it is to determine YOUR flavor profile and to make e-liquids the way YOU want it. It's the Ahlusion difference!" Wlad

This just in...

I have been in talks with Wlad and I have the green light to further inform on this. Any person that orders from Ahlusion receives an email asking :

"You placed an order (xxxxx) on ?/?/2012 with Ahlusion and we would love to hear your feedback! This is in an effort to continually improve on the quality of our products. We ask for direct feedback as it helps us to create better e-liquids for you. Every customer has a flavor profile and we populate that profile based on the feedback you give us. Your specific flavor profile is used on future orders and in this case, helps us to prepare e-liquids unique to your preferences. Please note that feedback is not the same as a public review; feedback involves specific details on the e-liquids or flavors such as likes, dislikes, or other flavor specific perceptions and effects sent directly to us. Of course, you are still welcome to share your thoughts publicly - good or bad! If you write a public review all we ask for is your honest experience.

Any feedback would be appreciated and as a thank you for your effort, here is a 15% coupon valid for 10 days to use on your next purchase: xxxxxxxxxxx"

Okay, so here is the deal: Most people do not respond to this email, read it, or take it to heart (even though it contains a 15% coupon good for 10 days after receipt). Anyone that does go through these extra steps and subsequently has an order placed that is tailor made should be thrilled! However, if by some chance you or anyone ends up with a second-hand bottle, a new system is being implemented that provides codes on all the labels. If you want to re-order a juice that you didn't actually buy and want it to be the exact same, all you have to do is provide that code (from the label) and/or the customers last name and the bottle you choose to order will come exactly like that one.

p.s. If you currently have a bottle from Ahlusion and it doesn't yet have a code on it, just provide the last name of the person that originally ordered it (if you want to make sure it tastes the same). If you found it on the street in an unmarked bottle, well, you're s.o.l.

I will holler at you soon, H.

Night, E.

Nah, with Ahlusion my motto is becoming: "Live Dangerously!"

Say Eleanor, if you get some time, I'd like to get your rundown of the Ahlusion tobaccos. I was looking at their stuff earlier today (yesterday, I guess) and see they break it into aromatic and non aromatic. I guess I would be inclined to their non-aromatics. What can you say about these tobaccos? Thanks

I haven't dipped my toe into their tobaccos yet -- that will happen with my next order. :) (Um, figuratively speaking, that is!:facepalm:)

Oh. Well, I'll wait. perhaps one of these other vapegeeks can give me their take. I thought you were deeply immersed in Ahlusion tobaccos. Sorry. Guess I should have read some earlier posts.

Bronze, you were correct in your assumptions about the differences between their aromatics and non-aromatics. I am, of course, all about the aromatics and you may be more inclined to delve into their non-aromatics. Just take to heart Eleanor's advice about steeping them.

I hate to write off categories of juice. It demonstrates such a closed mind. As it is, I have no use for fruit or dessert type juices. But I am not going to write them off forever...aromatics or other unique categories of tobacco either. What I am discovering as I journey through my vaping adventure is that my tendency is to target those flavors that I like the most (quite naturally). That tends to be a very small and selective group. But as time moves on, I can honestly see wanting to expand my lineup to include juices that I currently find I don't want anything to do with. I believe the acceptance of new juices has as much to do with training oneself than it does with just about anything else. That Vita Bella is something I do not see myself vaping...now. In a few months? Quite possibly. It wasn't really bad. Just a bit off the path at this point. I actually look forward to picking it up again and trying it in a couple/few months to see how my profile has changed. That can't happen with a closed mind. So to the cheesecake lovers out there...knock your socks off and CHEESE ON! One never knows if I will be in their camp someday.

I think it should be noted that when I first got my GeJ, I fell in love, but not necessarily into constant vaping. I loved the juices because I knew that's what I was looking for, but it took awhile before I could get totally acclimated. Now, the majority of my juices are forsaken in lieu of GeJ.

I am finding that juice preferences are an ebb and flow journey and acclimation is a requirement for any good juice. We were vollying with a guy last night who was popping off about not finding any good juices. He said he sampled 40 juices in three weeks. Well, for being new on the scene and still still struggling to seperate himself from cigarettes, it's pretty obvious what his problem is. I understand patience (or lack of) is one of the more difficult impediments of our lives to conquer. But it is vital when it comes to smoke juice. I suspect in time you will move on from GeJ as I will move on from the juices I currently find irresistable. Perhaps they will never go away, but we will find room to make friends with other smoke juices. Gee, I wonder with 2 - 3 months of steeping what that Vita Bella will taste like? And speaking of GeJ, I still have his Natural Perique to sample. I think I will do that today.
