I have been reading in the DIY forum and have a question about sweeteners for DIY. Several users have posted about using stevia as a sweetener. Is Truvia safe to vape? I have not found any local suppliers for stevia and was wondering if Truvia could be used as a sweetener ( if needed ) for my mixes?

Thank You in advance for any help you may be able to give me,

Eman

First, hello & welcome - great place here, make yourself at home. You can buy stevia in the grocery store or at a vitamin shop. I tried it many years back when it first came out as a food sweetner & thought it was the most vile thing I ever tasted, however, that was me & taste is VERY subjective. I've never tried it in a vape. Anyways, glad you joined the crowd here & I'm sure there others that can be more helpful to you than I.

Hi Eman. I think You will find "steevia in the raw" right next to the "sugar in the raw" in just about any grocery store. I know they also carry this product in the healthfood store where I purchase Vg for mixing. Healthfood stores also do a fair job of keeping "candy" flavorings in stock also which is where you should probably begin your search. These guys are close by you. http://www.woodlandshealthmarket.com/ Also for what its worth the steevia is not that great for me personally, it seems to gunk up pretty fast compared to ethyl maltol, and it emparts a different flavor on the liquid as a whole. I think I would avoid the truvia, i believe its chemically tampered with( but i have nothing to base that from honestly) Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

I Had the exact same issue when i started to mix my own liquids. Went out and found some steevia. Used that for a little while and began to not enjoy it eventually. I now order ethyl maltol and have been using it for a looong time. I do not think that pure sucralose can be had local, unless it is in healthfood store.... maybe. Your take on sweetners is correct, start with way less than you think you need. Its easier to sweeeten up than it is to thin out the sweetener.
