Swelling in the mouth and back of throat. Cleaning Atomizer to blame?

So, here's the skinny.

Last night I developed a pain towards the back of the roof of my mouth and towards my throat.
It's clearly swelling of some sort. It's not super painful, but it is painful and it's rather uncomfortable.

I've been trying to figure out what might have happened.
The only possibility I can come up with is that last night I had rinsed out one of my atties. I blew it out, I dried it off, I let it sit. Blew it out again, dry burned it some. Blew it out.

I did everything I could to make sure the water was out of it. But, after I primed it and went to take a puff, the vapor didn't have much taste and the air I was inhaling was hot!

Naturally, I figured there was still some water in there and that I wasn't inhaling vapor, but steam.

This is the only thing I can think that may have caused the swelling.

I've been vaping for over a month with no problems. And I haven't changed juices in the past two weeks or so.
I'm assuming any allergies would have made themselves known by now.

Does the "Steam Theory" seem like a likely culprit to my problem?
Has anyone else had this issue?
Or could there be another possibility (perhaps more serious) cause that I'm missing?

I would let it sit for a day to let it dry. Yes - washing it and then drying by using it WILL make steam and COULD irritate ur throat. AFter letting the atty dry properly it should work as normal BUT I would look at all possibilities including using flavors uve never used and or what you ate/drank/new meds uve used, etc PRIOR to cleaning ur atty. If it seems steam was the culprit and u have vaped fine since, then just make sure you let ur attys dry fully next time :)
