I've been using Reos for the past few years and recently tried a MVP v2 at a friend's place. I really enjoyed it and since my current (and very old) reo seems to be having some issues, I decided to go with a VTR. I'm using the supplied iclear 30s and have a kanger pro 2 on the way. I am a little disappointed in the flavor output for my longtime everyday juice. So I've ordered what my friend was vaping with the MVP in the hopes that I won't be bothered by this anymore. I'm sure this issue has to do with a switch to wicking in the clearomizer rather than the direct squirt to an atomizer that the Reo offered.

My 2nd issue is how quickly the juice goes in this. My Reo 18490 had a 3ml bottle that lasted through a full day of work and longer. I'm currently half-way through my day and the tank on the 30s is beneath half already. Hopefully this is just due to the new coils soaking up extra juice, but I'm worried I'll need to carry a spare tank with me for this mod.

On the flip side, I really like the VW option. I don't enjoy constant fiddling and setting the wattage will allow the vtr to automatically adjust voltage in order to maintain a similar vape throughout the life of the coils. My Reo was not VV but still required constant fiddling (tightening or loosening the atomizer, getting a feel for the right squirt size, occasionally getting a dry hit or flooded atty even after years of experience, etc...).

Also, the VTR is a much sleeker and nicer looking mod in my opinion (to the metal Reos - wooden ones are beautiful but not durable enough for me). Though, I am a bit worried that the VTR has a higher risk of malfunction with all it's techno-wizardry. I'm not bothered by the size of it and actually enjoy the heft. Still fits in my front pocket just fine and so far has less leakage issues than the Reo did (not that they were ever severe). And the clearomizer is much quieter than the LR atomizers I was using.

I'd honestly be hard-pressed to say which I like more at this point. However, I don't see these two mods being compared very often and thought I'd post my experience. Reos are very tough and durable so the mod's lifespan may be the deciding factor. The VTR certainly feels solid, but living in my front pocket is a hard life.

Update: Now that the iclear 30s has broken in some I'm enjoying it much more. The taste has improved some and there's an insane amount of vapor production. It's still burning through juice like mad, but I suppose that's the price for such thick plumes... I now just bring a 6ml eyedropper bottle with me to work in case I need a refill. And now the change pocket in my jeans serves a purpose.

I believe I've messed up the 510 threading. Over the past 6 months my atties have been getting jammed to the side more and more frequently. This is most certainly caused by everyday pocket carry and pressure being placed on the side of the atomizer. Anyway, the only way to unstick the atty is to force it back (they will not turn in the threads at this point). Now it seems all new atties are much more prone to this and are also much looser in the threading right from the start.

I could have just removed the atomizers before putting the reo in my pocket, but that seemed like a recipe for spillage to me. Keep in mind this is about 2-3 years of everyday/everywhere pocket carry, and it still functions, but the looser atomizers create more sound and less consistant vapor now.

You could always slap a BF RBA on the Reo and leave it be. The IGO-S is pretty low-profile and you don't really need to take it off for any reason aside from a thorough cleaning.
How big is your VTR next to the Reo?

The VTR is a monster compared to the Reo 18490. I believe it's even bigger than the grand, though slimmer. I'm not too concerned about it at the moment, but I may switch back. First I'll try the iclear 30s a bit longer, the protank 2, and maybe a carto-tank. If I end up not liking it I'll maybe try a VV Reo when available.
