Hey there. Long time lurker on here and just decided to sign up and post.

But since this is a new member section, I see this question here as most fit. I recently started vaping within the last 6 months. So far its been a great experience with its up and downs. There have been times (recently) where I feel like I am stressing out and feel that urge to smoke again! I mean one of the main reasons why I started smoking in the first place was in college because of exams and those around me smoked.

But upon taking more classes and with exams coming up. I feel like vaping doesnt quite cut it. I am not sure what it is. I mean is it the nicotine level? Is it just all psychological!?

Example (i know its bad) but I basically vape all day (good). Then feeling the stress level rise... vaping just doesn't give me that relaxation feeling that smoking analogs did? I bummed an analog (bad) and it helped a bit better than what vaping was doing for me... odd i know

What are your thoughts on this? Ever happen to you?

Hi I am also new here,
I started vaping 6 months ago too, and I have the same issues that you do,
I will not smoke a "stinky" under any circumstances due to my mom recently was diagnosed with cancer last month!
from (smoking for 54 years!)
The only thing I do is experiment with nicotine levels from 8-12-18-24 etc...
My order of 24mg of e-liquid is at the post office right now!,
and I will pick it up today and will post back and see if it helped me!

Could easily have to do with your set-up and nicotine level; possibly even a flavor change would help. When back on analogs, I ONLY smoked menthol, but when I felt like I needed to hold the entire pack of 20 in my mouth at one time and smoke it, I would bum a 'red'--Marl or Wins--from someone. Boy, did that ever do the trick! Hope this helps!

Very new myself, but know I am going to have to purchase replacement clearomizer(s) and/or coils. If I purchase a pack of 5 Kanger T3s Clearomizers, is it possible to fill any of them with e-juice and carry them around to exchange (different flavors/strengths)? I do not currently own the Kanger T3s Clearomizer, and am not aware if ANY of the clearomizers are able to be filled PRIOR to use/attachment to battery. Thanks in advance for all your help

I've been vaping (and off the analogs) for about 3 months. Started at 18mg (store bought) and am now at 15mg (DIY). I vape all day long as well and on a day off can go through a 2000 mah battery in about 8 hours. Well, yesterday was "one of those days" that the 15mg just wasn't enough. Thought about making a quick batch of something stronger when I remembered that I had several sample bottles of 36mg that was shipped to me by mistake several weeks ago. I quickly filled a clearo and started vaping. Didn't "taste" stronger than my 15mg but within a minute or so I had a nicotine buzz (that I hadn't had in years) and felt my body start to relax. The buzz didn't last long, the physical relaxation did. I switched back and forth the rest of the day. When I found myself chain vaping the 15mg, I'd pick up the 36mg and take several hits. Aah, much better now.

All clearomisers are filled before you attach them to your battery, and you can just take them off and replace it with a different one at any time. A five pack of the T3Ss sounds like a clone. The T3S is sold in individual boxes and costs about $6-$8 depending on where you buy them. The replacement heads come in 5 packs.

Expect a head to last about 20 - 30ml of e-liquid depending on how you use it.

It will be a combination of factors, but yes the nicotine level and the psychology of smoking and exams would both play a large part. The trick is to fool the brain into thinking it's getting what it wants.

Now it's a bit hard to know what to advise since you have't told us what you are using right now, however my suggestion if the cravings are very bad would be to have a clearomiser with very strong nicotine and a very strong tobacco flavour that you can use if the normal stuff is not working. 24mg/ml should do the trick, and there's really not much point going higher than this, and it may even be dangerous for you to do so.

I went through this a few months ago and found it really did help.

All excellent advice.
I have a setup wirh 36vg for those stron craving times and for those times i cant vape for hours until a break time. The VG mellows the TH plus produces clouds to live for.
The rest of rhe time, i use my regular setups.

You would probably do amazingly well with 24mg, you havent been smoking for 100 years before vaping.

Easy, up the nic level. Nicotine is what causes the dopamine/serotonin dump that puts us in the happy place. The absorption, though, is different. Analogs and their chemical additives increase the uptake of nicotine to about 5 seconds from draw to brain. Vaping is more like 30 seconds, so that delay, reduces the d/s dump. Increasing the nicotine will alleviate many feellings of craving, particularly at first. I used 36 mg/ml for the first two weeks. I'm at 12/18 now, nine months later. If you're not getting a nauseous, light-headed feeling, you're not going to absorb too much nicotine. Sometimes, I feel like increasing my nic, but it goes away pretty quick these days. The nice thing about nicotine, is that it does provide a feeling of relaxation, and does combat stress, and is used in medicine for just that reason, among others.

Go ahead and try an analog. If you're like me, and many others here, you'll instantly find them disgusting, because vaping is so much better! I have had exactly one puff from an analog since January, and that's all it took to reinforce how great vaping is. Nasty, nasty, nasty. I would never deny myself a cigarette, it's just that it doesn't do it for me any more, not to mention the other hundred benefits of vaping over smoking. Many vapers keep some stronger nic around for just such occasions as you mention in your post. I do, but almost never indulge anymore. Remember, analogs were so great at relieving stress, that quiting them, and substituting vaping does temporarily reduce our "coping mechanisms", and developing coping skills, along with a different nicotine uptake, does require some adjustment and time to completely replace the analogs, and their chemical additives, which not only make them more addictive, but also make the uptake of nicotine faster and stronger to the brain. Be patient, nic-up your juice for these occasions, chain-vape for a bit, exercise, etc., and power through the cravings. Even try a cig just to see what you are "missing". I think you'll find you're not missing anything, it's just a coping/memory/habit thing that is easily dispelled with a quick puff of nasty. Good luck, power up and vape on!!

Ahhh these were thoughts exactly. When I picked up my first stinky again.. it smelled horrible and i hated the smell on my clothes. But it also felt relaxing.

My current liquid is j vapes "yellow submarine" its 50/50 PG VG and 6mg of nicotine. I am thinking from reading this thread I should up the nicotine level a dose and see if it helps?

EDIT: how high of a nicotine level should I pick? I used to smoke nat shermans/american spirit kinda deal but later toned it down to ultra lights

I would absolutely try a higher nic level for those craving times. I still during high stress times occasionally think I'd like a cigarette. For the first month of vaping I did smoke a few a week but honestly the last time I tried one which was in May of 2012 the taste was so horrid (and it was my favorite menthol brand) I could get beyond two drags so that keeps me from picking one up again. This from a person who never even intended to quit smoking after a pack a day for 35 years! I just tried my 70 year old Mom's ecig in April of 2012 and liked the taste so got my own. Thanks Mom & so glad I tried it! I still use 24mg nicotine though and am not too concerned yet about reducing as it keeps me from going back, that and good flavors. Best of luck to you, let us know if you try a higher nic and if it helps.

This is exactly what I do. I currently have 9 clearos filled and I switch them. I remove them to charge the battery, too.

When you visit a shop, you try flavours by switching the clearos out.

Unlike the patch/gum/mints... vaping somehow allows me to feel like I can have an analog if I want one. I just don't really want one. I tried one on day three of vaping out of curiosity. It wasn't more disgusting than it had always been (I've never really liked the taste), but I knew that there wasn't really any appeal to it. I think I will likely find myself talking to a smoker at a pub while drinking and I will think "that looks like fun" and then bum one. I just know that it won't lead to me going back to analogs.
