Switching from 6v to 3.7

Ok guys i have decided to switch my SS GGTS w/ AVS to a 3.7v system, since i have no experience with this i need all the advice i can get.

Best batteries? Im asuming AW 18650
Best atties to use? Asuming Joye LR 510
Best charger... Looking for the best charger so that i can stop having 3 diffrent ones, i also i would like for it to be able to charge my RCR 123A lifepo 4's for the day i need a good strong vape. Thanks in advance everyone.

Also what is the best store to buy from? Trying to make just one purchase for everything, if its not possable no biggie though.

Charger.... for a decent price the ultrafire WF-188 will charge most any battery sizes and chemistry's Li-ion, LiFePO4, IMR (LiMn)
top of the line charger... Pila
atty's for 3.7 ... LR 901 will give great flavor & 306 produce tons of vapor and give good throat hit too

Im wanting to put it in my AVS without choping it though, will a LR 501 be ok or should i go standard?

Here are my thoughts:

• Best batteries? AW IC 18650 2900 mAh (got mine at SuperT Manufacturing). These are more than just 'how long they last' batteries. They are like a hybrid between IMR high drains and regular Li ion batteries.
• Best atties to use? 1.5Ω Joye (got these also at Vapor Kings @ 10/$49.95). They're stainless and laser etched, so perfect for the UFS.
• Best charger? Pila Charger (got mine at SuperT Manufacturing) Note: I do use a separate charger for my LiFePO4s because they're a different chemistry, so I like to use the specific charger. I'm assuming you already have one, but I got mine from Battery Junction. Vapor Kings has the same model).

That is a user preference, depends on the wattage (heat) you like. Personally I don't vape anything lower than 6v... usually @ 7.4v

you can use a 306 in your AVS... use one of these 306 to 510 Drip Tip Adapter - Avid Vaper (this will make it the same length as a 510) along with the atty extension for 510 in your AVS

My advice when switching from 6 to 3.7 is to stick with it for a while because at first it is not satisfying at all. I could only use high voltage at first and when I finally switched I was not happy with the results but I stuck with it because its not as hard on equipment and it saves me a significant amount of money. After about a week I finally got used to the hit that 3.7 provides and now 90% of the time I am perfectly content with 3.7/4.2. That being said I only use IMR Aw batteries because I still prefer a bit higher than 3.7. Like b-rad said the pila charger is the besrt but it does not charge 3v batteries so if you want the best then you will be stuck with two chargers.

I ended up buying the pila charger with the 2900 mah aw18650s, havent decided on the attys yet though. Will the pila charger drain the batteries when i charge them or will i still need to make sure i use these up completely before charging? As these are exspencive batts i want to make sure i take care of them in the right way because i think i have ruined a lot of my old batts.

Lithium is not like the old NiCad batts. You do not need to drain them. In fact you should never over drain a lithium batt, that will cause "venting with flame" or even explosion. The AW batts you bought have a PCB board in them so it should cut the batt before you drain them too far. You can just recharge a Lithium batt at any point. There are a limited number of times you can recharge each batt though, but AW's have a long life span so you should not have to worry about that for a while.

Will i get more vape time between charges with the 2900mah 18650s with a lr atty vs my 6v setup with 2 RCR 123A lifepo4's and HR atty's?

Yes you should see much longer vape times between charges. It is not as intense though. I used to be a strictly 3.7v with LR atty vaper, until I got my GGTS with UFS. 6v+ with a high ohm atty has ruined me on 3.7v with LR's.

This is why I want the extender tube, so I can stack 18650's and get my batt life back.

@tpavur the best 3,7V batteries you can buy are Panasonic NCR18650 2900mAh, and with a Cisco atom you'll made the grade!
