Having 2 KFLs and a. 3.1 I've noticed that after I place them on a different mods there is a taste difference. Example: I have a hammer mod in 18350 mode. A kayfun of about 1.0 ohm will be perfect. Then when I switch it to say a chi or king mod in 18650 mode the first few hits are dry and have slight burnt taste. It eventually goes away but I can't figure out why this happens. Any ideas??

All that comes to mind is that - starting at 4.2v+/-, IMR batteries have a rapid initial discharge to around 3.9-3.8v - then settle in for a bit before additional discharge. With a 18350 vs an 18650, 4.2v, and a coil at 1.0Ω, the available amperage and discharge rates will be different enough for a possible issue to occur.

Can't really think of anything else that applies... and to be honest, not sure if what I just said would apply either... a bit of a stretch to wrap my head around. I've never encountered the difference you refer to under similar conditions.

Interesting thoughts. I figured the battery output may have some thing to do with it and also wicking. Haven't really had many Kayfun problems honesty minus this. I still love them and they are my all day atomizers!! Thanks

There may be some other reason, like crxess' wet wick theory, but without every bit N' bob of information... we go with what we have to work with. ;-)
