I've been using 12MG juice for about a year. I still occasionally use some 18MG if I have an old bottle I want to get rid of (I buy a lot of flavors). I bought some 8MG on a really good online sale. Throat hit seems OK to me although I do seem to go through a lot of this juice. Whether that is from me liking it or trying to get more nic in my system I don't know. I'm about to do a big reorder of my favorite juices. Should I order 12MG or go for the 6MG? This is a lot of juice, 6 months worth. I don't want to get all this and then find it's not hitting the spot. I've never tried 6 before but I imagine it's very similar to 8. I also don't want to order a bunch of 12 if 6 would do and get me closer to complete freedom. Shopping cart is all full of 6MG I just can't click buy. Any advice?

I've switched over to 6mg with the help of RDAs. Once I started dripping, I fell in love with the amount of flavor it produced, and had to drop down to 6mg because of how hard it hits in the RDA.

Long story short, go for it. If it isn't giving you what you need out of your tanks, look into the RDA world. Its as easy as using a small eGo style dripper like the Squid / Octopus.

like cola said. I'd just order half and half. If you find that 6 hits the spot, you may still find yourself wanting 8 mg every now and then.

Also a +1 on the RDA suggestion. I never thought I'd go down to 12 mg and be happy, but I just made some 12 mg juice, and with my RDA it seems a little too intense (can't believe I'm saying this) . I can't wait to vape the bottle down a bit so I can dilute the mix. I actually got a slight buzz from the vape on the way home the other day, which I'm not sure I've ever had with vaping.

I went from 18-12 and found the drop to 6 mg is harder (its a 50% drop)
But im doing it a little at a time and its not so hard that way

1st I would say finish give away or trash the 18 mg
and I would order some juices for night chain vapes at 6 mg
keep your main day vape at 12mg and mix some supporting day vapes to 8 or 9mg

that has been much more successful for me
the 1st I tried to go strait to 6mg from 12 in 1 shot I ended back up to 18 mg
but doing it a little at a time a barely notice

I wouldn't say this to someone who's new to vaping, but since you've been at it awhile... I think just jump in headfirst.
I went to 6mg last week and honestly, didn't feel much of a difference. I thought I'd have cravings or vape more to make up for it, but I haven't. But that's abnormal, so I take back what I just said. ;) Big jumps are a bad idea for most people. Try a half and half order, 12 in one tank, 6 in another, so you can switch it up whenever you feel like you need to.

You could always get both 12 and 6, and mix them to get 9mg. Since I went smoke-free last week, I always start the day with a mix I created that's anywhere from 7.5 to 9... gradually add in the 6 thru the day, till by the end of the evening, I've been vaping 6mg for several hours, and don't have that rapid heartbeat problem.

Since I've recently been trying to find an adequate substitute for the one I love, Virginia from myfreedomsmokes (out of stock, horrors!), I've been ordering some of them 6mg, some of them 12mg. At some point they'll end up mixed together because if I vape 12mg for more than about an hour, I get the nausea.

Nice advice AndriaD I think that might be the wise thing to do. Order 6/12 and mix them to make a 9mg. That might be easier on the craving to chain vape. That way when you feel like you need more nicotine vape the 12mg. Dripping is the easiest way I have found to lower my nicotine intake. I smoked 12mg out of bottom coil tanks and as soon as I went to a RDA it was way to strong @ 12mg. @ossojones maybe get yourself a RDA and see if that might help ya out with the drop if you find the 6mg doesn't hit good enough for you.

I would ask the vender if they would make 9 for you. I know my local shop will, and would imagine lots of online venders would also.

I'm also a weirdo in that I don't notice much of a difference between 12 and 6--I started at 24 and stayed at 18 for about 9 months, then dropped down to 12 for 2, and I'm now at 6 because 12 is too much for me anymore. I get really jittery if I vape 12mg for too long, and I have quite a bit of 18mg left that I won't be able to vape at all (won't mix well with what I have at 6 mg).

I am going through more juice, but I don't seem to be vaping more--maybe I'm taking longer/bigger hits. I don't really feel like I'm needing more, though.

I agree with the step-down if you're not feeling quite good enough with 6. Eventually, you will get used to it, but if it's really making you crave, then bump up a little.

Everyone is right, don't rush it.

Took me a year to get from 12mg to 4mg. Still working my way down to 0. I tried to go from 12mg to 4mg once, didn't work out well.

LOL, I did the same thing...went from 18/24 to 12 after just a month. BAAAAADDDD idea...rode halfway on/halfway off the wagon for two weeks after that.

Based on what a lot of you are saying, it seems I might be able to just stick at 6mg without needing a higher level in the morning, if I had one of those dripper devices? No, no, down girl, you just got an iTaste... *sigh* A new vaping purchase is somewhere on my horizon, I just feel it... ;)

When I stepped down from 12mg to 6mg, I bought double bottles, thinking that I would do it gradually. Someone suggested using the lower mg in the evenings as it's not as much stimulant and better for sleeping. Well, the truth is, I got tired of changing mgs all the time so I just stayed with the 6mg. I've been at 6mg for a while now. Didn't notice anything when I dropped from 12mg to 6mg but I did when I tried to go from 6mg to zero. So I'm sticking with 6mg for now and when and if I'm ever ready I'll gradually drop to 3mg and see if I can stand it.

For me I have to have 6mg right when I wake up in the morning for the first few hours. The TH is too much when I'm still half asleep for whatever reason. As I wake up I try to change to a higher dose because I find it keeps me from vaping as frequently and saves money on juice. Some juices, like The O.B., also have less TH at higher nic levels than others, so that may be something to consider as well.
